One of the best museums for contemporary art in Berlin is the Hamburger Bahnhof, located right next to Berlin Central Station.
Great museum , but check what's on when you plan to go, so you don't get there when half is closed for installation of a new exhibition . They change them almost every season.
Stunning contemporary art in a great building. Highly recommend. Don't miss the huge long corridor to the left-rear of the building.
Modern art lover ?It’s ur heaven!Their exhibitions are well-curated and usually very different from one another.Don’t shy away from seeing 3 exhibs at once.Amazing interior is enabling large-scope art
Can’t miss destination for art lovers. Their permanent exhibit tells interesting stories around Berlin‘s history from different artists perspectives.
A stunning exhibition in an historical and beautiful building. You'll be impressed for sure because the structural design of the old station makes exposition even more exciting.
If you are an art lover,it is a must visit ..Exciting to see many (excellent)Joseph Beuys works alongside other great artists ..
Not much to explore at the museum , but the best art bookstore I’ve ever seen anywhere. Literally every artist imaginable is represented. Pure magic
Wonderful contemporary art museum in a beautiful old train station . Since the showings are mostly temporary exhibitions , check out the schedules before going.
Ginormous space with important shows of late 20th-C and contemporary art . Don't miss the Beuys works on permanent display.
Great exhibitions , try to visit at least 2/3 times a year as exhibitions are changing.
So good. Used-to-be-train-station contemporary art museum . Why are the old train station always good?
very massive museum but well worth the visit: Warhol , beuys , and many many modern exhibits in the long hall...
One of the world's great modern and contemporary art museums--the space itself is fantastic and unique and the collection doesn't disappoint.
Newly renovated at the time, this railway station was the site of the State of Art Today exhibition gathering 32 artists from all over the world for the Berlin Capital of Culture celebration in 1988. Read more

Great modern art museum , 7€ for students, 14€ for adults, staff could be friendlier
Typical wackos drawing and constructing weird stuff. Interesting nonetheless. Keep in mind the museum is quite big and might take you more than 3 hours to view it all!
It has an interesting collection focused on contemporary art with temporary exhibitions . Don't miss the one that is now on, Cloud City by Tomas Saraceno (until February 19th) and many others.
Museum of modern art . Unfortunately with ticket without temporary exhibitions you may miss significant part-permanent part was not very big and takes only around 1-2h to visit.
Spectacular contemporary art museum in an old train station . One of the best in Europe.
The oldest of survived train stations , it served less than 40 years before was recycled to a museum . Germany, the land of disposable train stations and recycled museums !
The historic railway terminus was opened 1996 as the "Museum of the Present". International as well as contemporary art can be viewed on 13 000m2.
Amazing building, amazing collection. Do check out the sound-art exhibit , above the restaurant . An alarm bell silently ringing in vacuum...
Incredibly thought-provoking art in a beautiful building.
Great museum in the old railway station. We visited the exhibition "Dialog with Karl Marx". It was cool.
Don't miss Julian Rosefeldt's Manifesto with 13 movies with Cate Blanchett. Until July 10 16. A bit hidden over the restaurant
If you like it droll, whimsical and bizarre the Hamburger Bahnhof is a great station to stop at. All Aboard!
I went there without any expectations or really having checked out any of the artists . Boy, was I in for a surprise! Martin Kippenberger (February until 18th of August) was a great one to get to know.
Tomas Sarenceno's 'Cloud Cities ' blurs the lines between art , science fiction and reality. If you only do one thing this week, make sure it's paying Hamburger Bahnhof a visit! Read more
It is very big and you would need ideally two days at least to examine everything properly. Great, great museum !!
Contemporary art display with bookstore inside. Feel free to use your Museum Pass for a visit. Warhol pieces on display.
The permanent collection is quite good, but the quality of the temporary exhibitions oscillates wildly.
