Great museum , but check what's on when you plan to go, so you don't get there when half is closed for installation of a new exhibition . They change them almost every season.

Museum of modern art . Unfortunately with ticket without temporary exhibitions you may miss significant part-permanent part was not very big and takes only around 1-2h to visit.

The oldest of survived train stations , it served less than 40 years before was recycled to a museum . Germany, the land of disposable train stations and recycled museums !

The historic railway terminus was opened 1996 as the "Museum of the Present". International as well as contemporary art can be viewed on 13 000m2.

If you like it droll, whimsical and bizarre the Hamburger Bahnhof is a great station to stop at. All Aboard!

I went there without any expectations or really having checked out any of the artists . Boy, was I in for a surprise! Martin Kippenberger (February until 18th of August) was a great one to get to know.

The permanent collection is quite good, but the quality of the temporary exhibitions oscillates wildly.
