The name Wakodahatchee is derived from the Seminole Indian language and means “created waters”. The area is home to a variety of birds, turtles , frogs, alligators , and more.
Lots of birds to see. Most of the walkway is not shaded, so consider sunscreen . If you want to avoid the crowd, try Green Cay Wetlands nearby.
