Good, inexpensive sushi and izakaya fare in a very BK/Tokyo kinda spot. Brussels were a tad dry but loved my sushi bomb , Chilean sea bass special and esp the tuna tartare

Amazing sushi . Extremely fresh fish . The chef puts a really creative spin on presentation but the traditional Japanese flavors are all there. I recommend the yellowtail scallion sushi bomb ????????.

Heidi

Good for dates or catching up with a friend. Large vegetarian menu . Creativity in food and drink. Fresh scallop from Hokkaido. Very trendy which explains the high rating. Sushi purists should avoid.

Dana D

Great atmosphere and solid sushi . The bombs are the feature here and worth getting a couple varieties to try out as well as the pork betty . Nice sake list to complement your meal. Kanpai!

Rachel N

Bozu is known for their sushi bombs so thought we’d try it. I’d say the style can be called right in the midpoint of being casual to fancy sushi . Sushi hits the spot every time.

Ranu Rajkarnikar

I LOVE SUSHI BOMBS. All sushi rolls should be served this way. Also, don’t miss their pork belly appetizer , signature appetizer with scallops and homemade pickles . Plenty of bars nearby to wait too.

Michelle

AMAZING sushi spot ! Chill vibes, fresh fish , friendly staff and unique "sushi bombs ". Visited in September 2018 and they had a ridiculous bluefin tuna sushi bomb special that was out of this world!

Village Voice

Bozu has boldly shouldered the task of being a sushi innovator, inventing sweet vinegared rice fashioned into buttons topped with fish , and a variety of crunchy, smeary, branchy things. Read more

A hip and chic Japanese tapas bar with a two-story patio . The fish is incredibly fresh and we love the low-key atmosphere. We go crazy for the Pork Betty ! It literally melts in your mouth.

Zulma

Awesome little Japanese place with delicious sushi alternatives at super afordable prices! Would definitely come back!

Marie Richer

Great place! Kabocha squash and pickled vegetables from the "healthy garden " were delicious. And the spicy seafood miso was super spicy and full of shrimp , scallops and mussels . Nice atmosphere!

Olivia Slutsky

The pork belly app and the spicy mcbomb were delicious.

Danielle Blair

Fried brussel sprouts with japanese curry , butternut squash risotto croquets and deep-fried shumai are da bomb!! And ramen is super yummy too! (ramen/appetizer menu after 12am). Staff & ambience: A+

Marius Watz

Truly in a class of its own: Consistently jaw-dropping taste experiences (must try: mini hamburgers , sea urchin ), great cocktails and impeccable wait staff (friendly , quick, unobtrusive.)

Gothamist

The sushi "bombs " are larger-than-roll-sized circular balls of rice topped with colorful, compact pieces of raw fish and a whole host of other ingredients, like roe , cabbage and raddish. Read more

Fuggin excellent. Get the Bozu Salad to start and rock a bomb party plate. It will literally blow your mind out of your skull.

Dee Phunk

The Pork Betty should be ordered right off the bat. One of the most interesting pork belly dishes I've ever had. I didn't even have to chew some pieces. They just kinda melted in my mouth.

Mullica Zudsiri

Get the Pork Betty ! Always. Also they're pretty nice and don't require the full party be present when seating. Love it.

Jonathan Liang

Try the Sashimi Platter . 4 types of fish , all super fresh and comes on a bed of greens and cubed carrots , daikon , radishes for a palette cleanser. You will not be disappointed.

Miranda Bullard

Back patio is gorgeous in nice weather. Went here for my boyfriend's birthday and although I'm not a big sushi fan myself, he thinks it might be the best sushi he's ever had.

Layla Khoury-Hanold

Pro order: Bozu salad , shrimp kataifi, pork Betty , party sushi bomb special, mackerel sushi & yuzu tart . ????

Nimesh Gandhi

Eat anything you like-It's all good. Tip: Make sure to enjoy the rich environment - the art on the walls...The art in your menu...The art on the counter top of the sushi bar..And the music they play!

Rebecca

Loved everything. Food came out fast and service was good. Seating was a little cramped but the good food made it worth it. Go!!

Christina

Ceviche (Ryoan dish) was amazing, and definitely get some sushi bombs !

Judy Cari

The pork belly is a must have, the yuzu cocktail , party bombs , crispy cheesy rice croquets and the hoji flan .

Dan Barton

Best sushi . In Brooklyn. I got the shiro bomb and salmon stinky roll. And I won't stop until I check them all off the list.

Phil ????

Best sushi I've had in a long time (tuna bomb and salmon roll ). Meat loaf and spicy miso soup . All excellent.

Jen W

ryoan, shrimp kataifi, spicy mcbomb (party bomb for a group), stuffed mushrooms , karage , and any cocktail/sake/shochu = perfect meal!

Nikki Vargas

Awesome food and cool vibes, definitely worth a visit. Go for the party bomb platter and the pork belly .

Daniel

The sushi is great but don't skip the pork belly

Mark Rechler

I love Bozu. Great vibe and service. Sushi is creative and top notch. I usually stick with the specials

Gail Amurao

My favorite sushi place in Brooklyn to date. Guacamole tuna bomb, o toro , and the party bomb were amazing!!

Kev Skinny

Party Bomb is a must have. Try the Bozu Salad too. That dressing is like crack.

Michelle Poler

Spicy mcBomb is DA bomb! (Without cucumber better) haha. Sashimi platter was amazing too.

Kenney Fromtheblock

The dragon rolls were great! Also they have beer made with rice or sweet potato for those of you that can't have wheat.

Aileen Ortiz

The party bomb is a great dish to share with someone. Chocolate mousse is great with the green tea ice cream !

Christie Adema

Love this place! My go to order is the Pork Betty , Spicy McBomb and wasabi margarita .

Anna Blume

An amazing sushi spot . Try the healthy ones!

Albert Covelli

If you love a variety of fresh sushi , try the 'party bombs '. Drink menu is also fantastic.

Joe D

Funky take on sushi . Get the party bomb...great sampling of fish . So much meat per piece!

Patrick Wiseman

Sushi bombs and Betty Pork are unbelievably good. Definitely coming back.

Danielle Carrick

When the hostess asks for your number, don't think it's because she's gonna call you when your table is ready. That being said, food was worth the (sorta confusing) wait.

Tiffany

Pork betty and sushi party bombs !

Oz Lubling

Awesome, awesome Japanese tapas ! I recommend getting the tasting menu . If you're in a larger party, you can tell the waiter how much you want to spend and they'll make up a menu for you. Ask for Phil!

Adrien L

The pork belly isn’t on the menu, but you can order it anyway (and you should)!

Rachel Kieffer

definitely the party bomb , and the wasabi margarita . take a look at the sake list too, it's hilarious and delicious. great date night .

Nao Miz

Great selection of sake and Shochu . Uni salmon . Remember the desserts--you don't want to miss them. Pan a cotta!

Jennifer Park

Pork Betty literally melts in your mouth, so good. Pork Betty and Party Bomb a must!

Jason Schaffer

The tuna tataki is great. Get a bomb platter to share with the table.
