Unbelievable non-pretentious Japanese. Try the communal table and make a friend. Udon , gyoza , sushi tacos , and eggplant appetizer are all musts. ????
Sushi tacos ! Get the "taco set " and sample five delicious (& generously portioned ) sushi treats! Pair it with a sumptuous gyoza starter, baked to a perfect brown crispy in a small cast iron skillet .
If you're craving for a nice bowl of udon noodles , go here! I love the kinoko (mushroom ) kake udon served hot. I recommend adding a poached egg and pork belly on top!
New contemporary take on japanese. Three different soy sauce blends based on intensity and udon noodle served with broth separate from the dish. It's not pretentious , it's actually all quite good.
Delicious Japanese at decade old prices. Sushi taco sampler, gyoza in a cast iron skillet , and pork belly using with a poached egg .
Great Japanese Izakaya amazing Udon you got to have the braised Pork Belly and scallion , the Pork Gyozas are a must and the sushi is phenomenal. Really good prices! Love this place!!
Delicious, inexpensive Japanese restaurant specializing in udon . The udon is best I've tried in NY. To be more cozy ask to sit at the bar in the back. A great stop for lunch and dinner .
This is my favorite Japanese spot. I'm usually more of a traditionalist, but I just adore the atmosphere here, and the food is spot on. Everything I've tried is pure delight.
Sushi was delish! We had a feast with salmon avocado , tuna avocado and salmon negi. Loved their three type of soya sauce as well ! Try also the pork gyozas .
Super cozy spot with great authentic food. Udon is amazing. If you are in a sushi mode, sushi tacos are pretty delicious.
Loved the sake , sushi taco sampler, veggie dumplings , beef sukiyaki udon . Fatty mama ramen ok
The lunch special at Samurai Mama in Williamsburg — you can have a super tasty soup , a salad , a side of picked vegetables , and a big main dish for only $10! Read more
To die for udon , sushi "tacos"- servers give great recommendations- ask them! The communal table up front is fun, but pass thro the kitchen and there's a whole cozy seating space + bar in back
Their gyoza is served in a sizzling skillet and you should wash it down with whatever sake the chef recommends that day.
The dipping style Kinoko Tsukcjil Udon - Cooked variety of mushrooms dipping sauce - is my go to favorite. Also. Never skip out on the black sesame ice cream for dessert . One of the best.
Yummy food - ordered the iced ginger mint tea , uni and salmon roe over rice , spicy bukkake udon , and green tea ice cream . Hits the spot. Try it out
Some of the best most authentic Japanese food I've had. Lunch special ftw -- $10 for huge donburi w salad and soup . Ask for the spicy red pepper for some extra kick
WTF that was perfect Winter food. Wish I’d have ordered a better beer . The spicy seafood curry something or other was pheNomNom
Everything is absolutely good tasting fresh and well presented! Stuff is very nice too. Old fashioned Inari is to try!
We always order the tempura to start. They have decent sushi . I personally like their "taco " spin though my husband doesn't. They have affordable lunch specials , too. This place is 1 of our staples.
We stumbled happily upon this place and had a delightful dinner of udon , dumplings and garlic chicken . Perfect for a cold winter's night, pre movie next door.
Take the 10 pork dumplings . That’s the way to start your meal, they‘ll be gone in an instant. Sushi options are great too.
The sushi tacos are pretty crazy. Mostly because the fish tastes super fresh but also because it's a Japanese taco . Can't go wrong.
Extra spicy wasabi soy — already mixed for ya! Lunch special hits the spot! Got the two roll set and came with cute fixings that made this meal even more enjoyable.
Killer meal! You cannot go wrong here. Get the taco sampler, house margarita and an udon dish
Yummy bara chirashi . Good place to eat alone at the bar if you are solo.
Go with a group so you can try everything or stuff your face by yourself. Good vegan options !!
We've tried almost everything on the menu at this point and all I can say is good things! Everything is delicious! We love getting the taco set !
The udon salad = cold noodles + salad , best of both worlds! And it comes with two delicious dipping sauces .
I'm very picky and rarely go out of my way to give a good review, but this is the best sushi I've ever had.
My standard fare: Kitsune Udon , AB Crunchy roll , and Inari. Come for lunch specials too, if you can.
Delicious, traditional sushi . Food is well priced, great prices for lunch and friendly staff .
The bukkake noodles were perfect, the texture of the poached egg was incredible and their spicy sushi rolls have ruined other local sushi spots
The curry spice udon is awesome! Don't forget to try the sushi tacos and be careful with the spicy soy sauce , do not over use it, I repeat do not...
it's all pretty flawless food & vibes here. try the sensai udon and the weird pan of gyoza with a crispy skin on top.
Great udon and Gyoza . Don't be afraid to aggressively hail down the server - they are pretty absent minded and slow. Food should also come at the same time, not after one person has finished eating.
An affordable Japanese spot with excellent pork gyoza , sushi 'taco ' rolls, & udon (get the kinoko tsukcjil)
The udon bowls here are amazing. There are so many options. You can't go wrong. They also have big sushi "tacos !"
get any type of udon . order the mackerel and the agedashi tofu . enjoy a nice dinner at the communal table .
oh! great ideas in the menu. Get guacamole tuna taco or any tempura roll . Lychee martini is citric and soft, yummy

Good Japanese food in Williamsburg area! Try the pork belly - they were so soft and served on top of fried udon .
Fun menu, I went surf & turf , the bukkake ramen isn't worth it so try the other stuff
The sushi tacos are so fun!! I looooved the pork gyoza , and the avocado tuna roll was amazing.
Super cozy atmosphere and great good quality Japanese food . The classic place for local week-time dinner .
The taco set was great and I also enjoyed the Wakame Udon with pork belly and a poached egg .
Awesome vegetarian udon . Grated daikon radish topping totally changes the flavor (in a delicious way).
Tasty izakaya fare, perfect for a cold day. Dig the communal table . The spicy bukkake udon was good but not great.
There are very few places that serve cold udon period. This place does it amazingly well . One of my favorites.
The wait is always worth it, but come on a weeknight to avoid the line . Try your udon with a poached egg on top.
Excellent robata plus delicious soba noodle soup. Make sure to try the wagyu beef rice bowl as well. - Sunny H
Teriyaki duck wings , latkas w salmon row creme fraiche and scallions , challah chocolate banana bread pudding - a lot of interesting food combos can't wait to go back! - Raquelle Jessie
Gyoza is delicious, & general presentation sharp- details attended to. Love the three soy & wasabi cups with tiny spoons. The long wooden tables are beautiful. Only the lighting is a bit abrasive. - Amanda Boekelheide
I actually love this theater. Inexpensive and the screens are huge. ???????? - Lee Lawrence
Try the Oatmeal Creme Pie Soft Serve - Very good, maybe the best one in the current rotation of flavors - Mike Chau
