Easily one of the best museums I've ever been to. Outer space, flora & fauna, Ancient Egypt. & Egyptian mummies, dinosaurs & prehistoric earth! I's huge, Get there as soon as it opens!
Amazing people who work there everyone is so kind and lovely. The pizza in the Dino cafe is good too. All of the exhibits are fantastic definitely ask about the elf hunt
Wonderful variety of exhibits . Interactive and static exhibits entertain all ages. Well worth price of admission. I had a blast. They also have a café !
Great exhibits of many different animals, space exploration, gems & minerals, rotating special exhibits . IMAX theatre is always cool to do. MUST DO observation deck! Parking ????????
I have been to many museums across the US, and this is one of the best. There are so many hands on activities for the kids. As an adult I love it too! The dinosaur exhibit is one of the best.
Such a great museum ! Passionate and knowledgeable volunteers, and fantastic exhibits . Dinosaurs ! Gems and minerals! Planetarium ! And did I mention dinosaurs ?
There are always wonderful, well done exhibits and so many special events to take advantage of. Living nearby makes this a go-to when looking for a fun place to get my brain thinking.
Dinosaurs , wildlife & mummies - oh my! There's something for everyone at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Don't miss an IMAX movie , the planetarium or the Prehistoric Journey.
Wonderful science museum that you can easily spend the whole day at. Kids love the space section where they can pretend to fly a space ship.
Got to love the human body and health exhibit and getting to learn about yourself along with things you might've not know before. A great place to spend a day and learn :)
So many fun exhibits for kids of all ages. Hit the space exhibit early as it gets crowded later in the day.
Dinosaurs , mummies, a planetarium , and so much more. Set aside an entire day to come here and explore!
Always a good time at this museum . Current temporary exhibit is Mythic Creatures, definitely a must-see!
Good place for a quick trip. Check to see what the visiting exhibit is. The different climate areas are disappointing -- just some stuffed animals. Their IMAX shows are generally very good.
The Coors gem and minerals exhibit & planetarium are the best I’ve experienced, anywhere, hands down.
The Mayans were fascinating: they monitored the sky every night and via extensive record keeping were able to predict astronomical phenomena because they kept perfect records for hundreds of years.
Excellent space exhibit . Lots to explore. Good display on mining in Colorado. Friendly staff and a nice location, next to the zoo .
Elf’s quest is fun with 9 year-olds for sure. There are only 11 out of 12 hints, so we spotted only 11. Ask for the hints paper at the Information desk.
This is a fun family place with lots of diverse exhibits . A little too loud and overstimulation for me, but it seems like a great place to take the kids.
Celebrate National Get Outdoors Day with DMNS on Saturday, June 8th, right outside at City Park ! Learn more about YOUR human body and try out dozens of outdoor activities for the whole family. 9am-4pm Read more
Explore the cosmos and Mars in the Space Odyssey exhibit where the Museum Galaxy Guides will take you to interactive exhibits , live performances , and demonstrations. Fun for all ages. Read more
IMAX and Planetarium are super cool! If you plan to go to the Museum more than 2 times a year, buy annual membership. It's well worth it!
Beautiful views of City Park and Cityscape . New edition is stunning. IMAX is super and the museum itself never disappoints.
Check out the Konovalenko gem carvings and the amazing view of downtown from the sky terrace !
Feed the sabertooth cat! Great exhibits - especially if you’re planning to be in the area for recreation and hiking .
The Gems and Minerals exhibit has been a favorite of mine since childhood.
Really enjoyed the museum especially the poison exhibit that’s currently in Denver. Very kind workers.
Did you know that Dr. Scott the paleontologist from Dinosaur Train works here?!! Call ahead and schedule a meet -n- greet!! Super nice guy!!
Also located in City Park , you’ll see enormous dinosaur skeletons, including tyrannosaurus rex, triceratops and stegosaurus; you can also spy on paleontologists preparing fossils for display.
Did you know? The museum began in 1868 in the log cabin of Edwin Carter, a pioneer and naturalist who amassed a large collection of Colorado birds and mammals, and displayed them in his home.
If you go for a 5pm IMAX on a weekday you don't have to pay museum admission! I saw "Wild Africa", AMAZING!
I love the DMNS! I could live in this museum . One of the best science & nature museums in the country !
Skilled artistry and craftsmanship behind each display. Learned so much about our incredible planet.
The exhibits are great except for the fact that there are a ton of little kids screaming running around and no parents are taking care of them.
Before seeing the Mammoths and Mastodons exhibit (thru May 27), watch http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/earth/ice-age-death-trap.html for background on the highlighted Snowmass Village excavation fossils
Fun for the family! Consider “checking in” at a location as you are leaving, rather than upon arrival, to minimize the chance of an unwanted encounter with someone unknown.
Wonderful museum ! Make sure to check out the IMAX and any special displays they have!
Plan on a whole day. Fun, big and informative. Too bad it closes at 5.
Really cool place with lots of good things to see! Suitable for all ages.
This place was awesome. Spent nearly the whole day there and didn’t see it all.
If you stay past close, make sure you keep your dinosaur repellent handy.
Target audience is definitely a younger audience although adults can still enjoy

Loved the discovery area for kids - a whole lot of instructive fun!
Lots of dinosaurs , and the space station is fun for little kids.
Don't take your little kids if they're under the age of 5 or 6. You won't get to enjoy anything, they won't understand anything, and they'll get in everyone else's way
They have several free days a year so check the calendar! It is. Really busy these days but hey it's free!
Don't miss the incredible dioramas.
Always brings a smile to my face to walk in and see the Trex in front.
The Oceans 3D IMAX is great.
I love watching historical films and just under the sea shows. I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to nice imax theatres. But this also has 3D films. Lovely overall. - Megan Diller
Unexpected bargain for a large selection from fresh to fried. It is there. Soup was amazing. Beef and sweet potato stew. - Brad Ploof
A great area for all ages. This is one of the most popular and time consuming exhibits as everyone tries to complete their peak pass. I recommend going first thing in the morning. - Claire Luhman
A great place to go to relearn about space. I recommend this for younger kids from 2-9 or older adults just because of the activities and mass amounts of reading. Check out one of the computer - Claire Luhman
Fantastic gems. Good for all ages. The kids like to look at the colours. If your trying to make them learn try and send them on a scavenger hunt to find all the colours of the rainbow. - Claire Luhman
Lots to see and do. Be sure to take a map so you don't miss out on anything. Food on site can be expensive. There are free admission days sometimes. Parking can be difficult to find. - Neal Wolff
Always a blast to go through. If you have younger kids or just a short attention span skip the ocean area and keep walking till you reach the Cretaceous Creekbed. - Claire Luhman
