The Van Cortlandt House Museum, is the oldest building in The Bronx. Built by Frederick Van Cortlandt (1699 – 1749) in 1748 as a home for his family.

Wonderful place to go for a slice of NY history! The actors portraying George and Martha Washington were terrific!
George Washington stayed in this house at least twice during the American Revolution .
