If your in the Penn Quarter area, this is a must try destination. I can never just pick one, but gotta try the Southern Belle (red velvet ) the first time. Always try and stop by on every visit to DC.

Obvs the red velvet is good (the southern version, with sugar). Also tried the vegan chocolate velvet and birthday cake cupcakes . All. Amazing.

Quite simply the best cupcake I have ever had. Light, fresh and oh so flavorfully delicious.

I absolutely love the Northern Beauty (the sugar-free version of their red velvet cupcake ), but they only make a few a day. If I feel like splurging, I jump for the peanut butter chocolate cupcake .

The red velvet cupcake (aka Southern Belle ) is this shop's namesake for a reason: it's the best! The cake is moist and the cream cheese icing is to die for, making this cupcake truly scrumptious.

The Southern Belle and the Carrot Cake are my fav. There are gluten free , sugar free and vegan options . This place itself is tiny, go eat your cupcakes somewhere else.
