The place is a bit hidden, but once you'll get inside you'll find gigantic and majestic rooms. You can feel free and to explore, as no one seems to bother if you go from one room to the other
Walk through a hole in the wall to access one of the finest buildings in Lisbon. Arabic decor, it has a restaurant and a more relaxed taberna. Not to be missed!
Amazing place! An entire palace of the 17th century full of dining rooms kept in the original style. Food is good, in the tradition of Portugese classic cuisine.
Check the TAVERNA, super traditional local style restaurant , affordable prices . It’s a bit secret but worth the try! Beer 2€.
Not pretentious , no nonsense, just excellent food from the Alentejo region and wild wall decorations. Pretty much wild and dilapidated Moorish interior decoration arranged by some mad man. Beautiful!
Ancient Arabic palace . There are restaurant and tavern. The place was crowded but it is large enough. Big portions and good service .
Very good for groups . We were there for lunch . Very good food in a very good atmosphere. Go there.
This 17th century restaurant is beautiful and worth a visit just for that. The food is average for the price, but this is a place you should go at least once if you are visiting Lisbon (or live here!)
Nice beautiful interior . Worth the visit. Historical andalusíes influence. I didn’t try the food or the other services.
The tavern on the mezzanine level is a great lunch spot . Order at the bar and they'll bring the food to you!
Spectacular interior with lots of decor hiding behind an insignificant exterior. Totally unexpected. And the food is very good and reasonably priced, too!
Restaurant that brings the bounty of the Alentejo region to Lisbon, with a view overlooking a beautiful Moorish interior courtyard . Their soups , rice dishes, and fish are best.
Beautiful Moroccan architecture . An amazing place indeed. Love that patio
The building is amazing. An historical Arabic style building very well preserved. The food is typical from alentejo and its ok and mainly for tourists .
This place is worth just for the building itself! It's an old arabic palace right in the centre of the city . You don't know it until you pass the front door... it's quite impressive!
A beautiful building with a nice courtyard bar and a restaurant upstairs. Ballroom dancing on Sunday evenings.
Awesome and a must do! Real Portuguese food , not Portuguese junk for tourist !
Awesome place: gorgeous bulding with tasty authentic food in the upstairs restaurante. An absolute Lisbon must do!
Beautiful 17th century decor. Will pass on the food; the abraco soup and salmon is a total miss.
Awesome place (inside)! You'll take gorgeous pics there! For order try "lombo de bacalhau" and "presuntos da casa". Best choices ever! :)
Amazing architecture upstairs. Worth going mostly because of that. Good service .
If you are in Lisbon, and want a taste of real traditional portuguese food you should come here!
beautiful building but the dinner with 80 people eas to big to handle for them. Food was moderate at highest and staff friendly but not well organized .
Good restaurant with a dining room having great frescoes of Portugese country side.
Awesome place with tradicional alentejo food. Average prices. The building itself deserves a visit.
Picturesque mid-range Portuguese restaurant with traditional decor (Times)
Sit by a window looking out to the pretty interior courtyard
Amazing place to explore! Wonderful interiors. Food is average.
Amazing place, good food but don't eat the dessert there.
Really impressive interior with Portuguese tile murals and high ceilings
What a great place. Completely awesome building and delicious food.
Fabulous building and restaurant ... a real hidden gem ! (Although in the D&K top 10!)
A lovely place, easily missed on the street....try the local cheese starter...fabulous setting!
Definitely place a reservation or stand in the walk-in line for an indefinite amount of time.
A must to visit, but not to eat (touristy ).
Choco . Molt bo. Deep fried cuttlefish with rice and chard. Nice.
In the bar downstairs, it's 50 cents for a glass of wine .
The venue is split in two: the bar is cheaper than the restaurant , but it's an awful place. Once I asked for a extra portion of bread so the maitress said "if you want it you must be at the rich side"
The moorish-portuguese interior decoration is amazing. Food average.
Atmosphere is great.
...come one, come all
Really lovely place
Go for sunday evening slowdance.
Amazing place
real portugese food
Espaço maravilhoso
Restaurant located on the 2nd floor of an old casino . Great food from Alentejo region , try the roasted suckling pig
The food was terrible, but prices low. I liked the atmosphere but wouldnt go there again.
very nice!
Not very expensive and quite big portions .
Really bad food - codfish was inedible/chewy, soup was cold, even Brussels sprouts were mushy, and veal/beef ordered by my companions seemed to have been prepared long before being served - Vaibhav P
Very casual but amazingly delicious certified steaks.Just keep in mind that medium well literally means raw in Portugal. There's also good variety of tasty cheese and wine collection. Try kebob skewer. - Aysan Ay
For me this is one of the best places to eat Beef in Lisbon. In the summer it has a lovely outside terrace. - Sara Correia
A must do in Lisbon, pass by and enjoy this delicious cherry liquor! - Victor Garrido
Just another one of the many amazing squares in Lisbon. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby! - Daisarie Delay
Great nachos, devastating long Island ice tea and great service! - Manu
