Such a cool building, we had the daily special/lunch menu as we were in a bit of a rush, 3 courses and a beer for 16euros. Was very good. Great atmosphere and food was very nice.
What a great venue for a restaurant ! Situated in a former monastery . They serve excellent beers and original Portuguese food . Delicious! Coming here was a great experience
Despite rumors no beers of their own. For the steak you can pick a sauce from a list of one. The food is decent but the price is on the high side. The service can be clumsy. Wine glasses are generous!
You can have better rates in Lisbon however you need to experience it in terms of ambiance. Meaning of fresh seafood !!
Try the "Natas do Céu" (dessert ) with a glass of Porto wine . It's amazing! <3
For me this is one of the best places to eat Beef in Lisbon. In the summer it has a lovely outside terrace .
The arroz de mariscos is really good. And there is a hidden terrace , so you can eat outside if you want to enjoy the Lisbon weather.
Angus steak , fish cake and grilled fish were yummy 👍
good stop for a cerveja on your walk in the area - mainly to see the monastery space
Monastery established 1294, but demolished several times. Brewery opened 1834 after the liberal revolution, with public service in the refectory of the Trinos Friars in 1840. Made royal brewery 1854.
Don't know that happend To the hamburgers they were excellent. Had a great meal
A nice beer restaurant with some special feel. Steak was just great.
The place is amazing and the food is great. A landmark in Lisbon.
Really nice atmosphere and fish menu .
Skip the underwhelming steak and get the delicious pork leg instead!
Amazing food. Amazing beer . Amazing enviroment. Amazing history.
They don't brew their own beer but has decent price. Good place for late night to grab some seafood snack with pints of beer .
Known for seafood and their own beers , there's also a good kids menu available.
‘Arroz da marisco ’ must try
This must be one of the best restaurants in Lisbon. The codfish is delicious!
the best thing is the location, food and price are better in one of the little restaurant around the Barrio
Excellent food. Great service and atmosphere
be careful when having starters + main course 'cause of the big portions !!!! excellent food anyways!!!
Very popular.. Yes, place is historical.. Beautiful walls.. But I didn't enjoy food..
Definitely not the best seafood place in town , although tour guides tend to pretend so. Decent food, but expensive for the level of quality. Some dishes even come wrapped in plastic foil still.
Terrible service, food is ok. Had the seafood rice and it was good. The bacalao omelet was really good. The seafood pate was not good. Not really worth the visit
Very nice place: you can eat good fish and meat, drink an excellent beer .
Classic local food. Great place
"Very old convent restaurant & brewery where the friars made their beer "
It might've been good a decade ago. It's a tourist trap now.
Great service, yummy food & tasty beer
Nice to visit and have a beer but nor for food
Everything was delicious and prices were resonable.
Incredibly fresh seafood !
Smells really bad and it's too huge to make you feel comfortable . It has all fish menu and it's quite pricey .
Get the bohemia for a slightly sweeter, stronger beer and pair it with the octopus salad ! The fish roe and cod were fine but the octopus was the standout
Excellent authentic Portuguese fare.
Great steaks !
Kind of a tourist trap . Food is only average, I even wonder if it's really homemade ... Not really bad but pricey . Lots of space though, so could be a plan B...
Back after 40 years!
Really bad food. Meet was overcooked, cod had no flavor, service was mediocre. Very different from the rest of the experience in Lisbon.
Ya, agree, tourist trap . They throw plates at you like it's free, it's not. Refuse them or pay for thing you don't want. Also, not cheap . Avoid. Nice space though!
Isn't worth neither time nor money. Tourist groups come inside just to hear about the history of the place.
Classic place for steak and beer !
Food is okay. Too much hype from my driver - also, I'm convinced this place is haunted 👻
Cuttlefish are delightful, and hard to go wrong with the salted cod , of course. A note: the bread , cheese and pastes they give you when you sit down cost about 10 euro.
Food is below average. Service is fast. Good for groups .
Bacalhau Espirtùal still on my mind.
Cerveja re
Touristic place with pretty okay food
Very nice steak on rock :D and also very nice Portuguese traditional cuisine. - Eduardo Ferreira
Good inexpensive food. This is the place where the locals go. The pregos (steak sandwiches) are an amazing deal try them the way the locals eat them with chilli oil and mustard. - Amin
The best of portuguese food, at really good prices. Also, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. - Joana Parente
Simply love here!! Nice view and nice chilling at a cafe in the piazza. - Yukari
One of the oldest cafes in Lisbon. Great option for brunch. Sit outside to people watch. Fresh pastel de natas too. - Julia Lu
Try the coconut chocolate ice cream. 😋 Mango is also s good choice. - Lorena Vilela
