All I know is that my friend from Bombay refuses to eat American-Indian take-out, loves the food at Punjabi. Also there might as well be a swinging door for the flow of cabbies in and out of here.
$3.50 gets you a bowl of rice with a huge pile of your choice of 2 vegetables : spinach , lentils , and more. Enough for a small meal but you can opt for a bigger bowl or throw in a $1.25 samosa .
Listen to everyone on earth---this place is great. Bring $5, pick literally anything to fill a plate, be really happy. Add spicy pickles .
