On a trip to escape Brooklyn I ended up at Eventide, which is as hip as Maine gets. But I have no regrets: there's good food and fun cocktails . A great double date spot !
The oysters are delicious. I got a half dozen of one of each from Maine. In mid March, the wild dam , pemaquid point, and johns river were the best. Order a glass of bubbly or white wine !
After five years of trips to Portland, I finally made it. Start with oysters . Get a dozen -- two of each different type from Maine. Have a lobster stew . Continue with a lobster roll .
Fantastic restaurant . Everything is delicious. Get a dozen oysters , the lobster roll , and anything else that suits your fancy . And a local beer on tap . Leave happy.
Please please get the lobster roll with brown butter vinaigrette . They steam the buns , so it's like a pork bun and a lobster had a baby. It's on the preemie side, so order biscuits , too.
Hands down best meal I've had all year. Get everything and share, you can't go wrong. The oysters were amazing, as was the crab roll , the greens (the nori vinaigrette is killer), and the tuna crudo .
Eventide is like if Momofuku Ssam Bar and a top-notch oyster bar had a baby. Great selection of oysters , buns are on point, cocktails are excellent, and the dessert is great too. Must visit.
Everything was delicious. Oysters , Maine lobster stew , best fish sandwich I've ever had, and the brown butter lobster roll ?? HOLY SH!T. You may just want to post up and get 5 lobster rolls . Worth it
To beat the wait, come super early to put your name down. Come back later and you’ll be at the top of the wait list.

Oysters are obviously a must, but so is the lobster roll with brown butter vinaigrette . So simple, yet perfect! The fried mussels were playful and tasty, and the Main scallops were clean and bright .
As people have already said, lobster roll here is incredible...The portions are small so two of us ordered four lobster rolls . Dashi chowder and frozen banana desserts were very enjoyable. I love here

Amazing seafood ! Eventide's take on the traditional lobster roll is superb - would it be obnoxious to say I wish I ordered 2 for myself? Also share biscuits and fresh Maine oysters on the half shell.

EPIC❗️Don't miss the pork belly , oysters and taco ???? ???? and coconut ice cream for desert !!! Come super early and expect a super long wait...but it is worth every minute! ????????????
Out of a 36 point scale, with 15 being the highest rating, everything was a 16 or “up.” Stand outs were Crab bun , Battered pollack , and Tuna crudo . If you get oysters , get the red onion ice.
