This Museum is important not only by its military themed exhibit , but for the highly decorated rooms. A real surprise on each room, with numerous paintings , carvings and tapestry. Well wort the visit.
One of Lisbon's most underrated museums , definitely worth a visit! Expect lots of military stuff, but the highlight are the stunning rooms in which Portugal 's history is described.
If you are into military history , don't miss out. The building itself is worth to see. You may want to take a quick look at Portuguese militaryhistory beforehand and you get more out of the exhibition
One of the best museum of Lisbon, but still not popular. Free admission at first Sunday of month. Sometimes inside they have toy soldiers battle championship.
Really interesting pieces showcasing Portugal 's military history - from its colonization movements in Brazil and Africa all the way up to World War I.
Really great museum with many amazing rooms and artefacts. It was totally empty when we went.
