Value for money zhi char place famous for their fish head steamboat . Salted egg chicken , coffee pork ribs and sambal kang kong are the standout dishes for me.
Fish head steamboat is a must order here ! Soup is full bodied & sweet . Chunk of fresh fish in generous portion . A bit pricey but worth the taste experience
Wah! The service here really damn good! I was the last customer at 1am, they were like, "hey no rush! Take your time" 2 thumbs up for their attitude! ????????
I've tried both steamboats - this and the one across the road . I think this one is better (who cares who is original). They use lots of dried fish in the stock, gives the soup a nice smokey flavour.
The soup is really fresh and good! Go in groups because one serving is more than enough for 2!
Nice fish head steamboat here. Love the soup . Great place to sit down with a group of frens to eat, drink n chat at the same time. Opens till quite late.
Very fresh promfret fish and great service from lady boss Sally ????????????????
The soup taste excellent and comes with very slight charcoal taste. Waiting time can be 1-2 hours during peak hours.
Charcoal steamboat is tasty. Also must try the handmade tofu and salted egg pork ribs !
You can order extra servings of promfet slices to cook in your steamboat and also order extra tang o to top up your greens intake for the day:)
Good price, good portions, good food. No wonder the long queue.
The soup of the steamboat is very nice, but the fish is over cooked and the meat is very "dry". The add on yam is crispy enuf and melted whn dip in. Do not try the salted egg pork rib , way too sweet!
Long queues here :)) the fish head steamboat is superb. Nearby thr's a 24hr supermart n a korean supermart. Mad love
They are easily booked . Call in advance before going so that you can have a space. Their big intestine (大肠头) is nice! :)
Fish consists of too much bones and isn't fresh. Portion of fish meat is little to share around yet still the shop expecting the customers to order more sides than other restaurants .
And I'm back!!! The great thing about this place is that it's consistently good.
Awesome steamboat , one of the favorites by the locals
Getting expensive but still damn shiok . One of the best fish broth in Singapore
Love the fish head steamboat . Also good are the chicken wings , prawn roll , sambal potato leaves.... but somehow the fish slice noodles is not so good.
Very good fish soup . A must try and traditional singaporean dish!
Of course the fish steam boat but also have the tofu :-)
We tried their pomfret steamboat , black pepper crab & spinach with 3 egg . Everything tasted bland. Fish was dry & overcooked. Spent $122 for 3 pax. Never returning. Crab meat was fresh. But that's it.
The steamboat soup is awesome! Value for money !
prawn paste chicken , pomfret fish head
The soup is simply awesome. Tasty, clear and sweetness.
For steamboat , pomfret fish is the best! Fried chicken wings and pig intestines to go with it!
Reserve the air-conditioned private tables on the 2nd floor. Great for family gathering dinner or birthday dinner .
2nd floor air conditioned . Credit cards/NETS/QR pay accepted
Tasty Hot Pot ! Feeling hot too.
Did not manage to try the steamboat . The fishsoup is tasteless to me. Sweet potato leaf slightly salty but not bad. The others is so-so
Do order the pomfret fish soup if you are afraid of fish bones :) perfect for rainy day, will warm you up!
Admittedly, the food is great but they are starting to raise prices
Good food & friendly service !
Decent fish head steamboat . Portions quite small though. The shrimp paste chicken wings are good.
Not the original; started to compete with.original. Look for the shop at the junction in a corner shophouse.
Love their shrimp paste chicken . Their Yu tou Lu is a must.
New place trying out. Value for money
Fish head steamboat ! ????????
Nice fish head steamboat ...
Should try the sweet potato sambal kangkong
Other than the defacto fish steamboat , make sure you give the fermented tofu fried pork (南乳花肉) a try.
Reservations are highly recommended esp during peak hours like dinner .
authentic but a little pricey
Love the oysters fried with eggs
Fish soup is awesome here! Is a must to try ;)
Average food here... not the best nor the worst. If plan to dine here, call for table reservation in AC room .
Must try the fish head steam boat here!!! Yummy yummy yummy!!!!
Best fish steamboat
Super long wait for one hour on mother's day eve. Steamboat soup so so only. Probably too many customers degrade the quality..
I love the fish soup n fish head steamboat here! Yummy!!

Newly opened, spacious and not too long queues. Fantastic service as always. Love the tomato soup and the noodles acrobats. - Ting
