A must go when in Memphis - I had no idea how many huge artists came from Memphis. Many of them recorded at Sun. The tour guides are awesome & super passionate.

Sun Studios offers a very short tour of their studios, but it is certainly worth it. You also have the ability to take amazing photos in the legendary studio with original equipment from the past.
It's probably been said in other tips but do the tour . Our guide was enthusiastic and funny and really seemed to be enjoying what he does. Always good to see and adds an extra dimension.
So much rich history. I loved this place. Some of the best American music of all time was recorded here. Touch elvis' mic and the killers piano.
So cool to see where Elvis spent time recording. They have a microphone he used that you can get your picture with. Still an active recording studio . So much history !
Great history of the place given on the tour . Well worth the money and time. If you visit Graceland , there is a free shuttle from there to Sun Records and Rock n; Soul and back.
Fabulous chocolate shake & enthusiastic guide . Touching & taking pictures with one of the 5 original microphones that Elvis , Cash or ANY of the founders of rock-n-roll makes this tour invaluable.
Grab a drink and hang out at the counter before your tour . The staff is amazing and fun to talk to (most of them are in bands or produce or do other cool stuff).
If you see nothing g else in Memphis, see this. The sense of wonder & excitement being right where so many musical legends have recorded or even got their start. Tour guides are fun & knowledgeable .
Awesome tour , made more awesome by the guide, Jason. He really makes the tour ; you can tell how passionate he is. (If you buy the tickets at the Memphis Visitors Center, they're a dollar cheaper.)

Bring a baby with you...kids under 5 can't take the tour but they'll give you a company ticket for the baby and the adult that has to wait with the baby. So baby=free ticket!
Cash and the King made it popular, but did you know the first rock 'n' roll song was recorded at Sun by Jackie Breston and the Delta Cats in 1951? "Rocket 88" had Ike Turner on the keyboards.
I honestly think I liked this more than Graceland . Just hearing the AMAZING history that has come through those doors is well worth the tour !

Its worth the 10-12 bucks to see it. The guides are fun and knowledgeable . Its not a big place but has a lot of cool stories.
