You can hike to the peak above the tunnel by driving up into Cave Rock Estates. There's a trailhead with parking @ the 1st switchback. Short walk. Short scramble. Big payoff.
A well-kept secret but not for long. I'd parking is full drop off your stuff near the beach with friends and park on the road above the beach .

Best place to stop and eat your lunch as a break from a road trip with one of the best views .
If you are dropping a boat, this is probably the cheapest spot to do it.
$2 entrance fee but it's worth it :)
Welcome to my dark hole. No passing and remember to use your brights !

Take one if the cruise tours, they are one of the cheaper activities to do in the area and the views are exquisite! - Chavilah Bennett
One of the nicest beaches on Lake Tahoe. It's so popular that you'll have to arrive before 10am most days to be allowed entrance. Great for swimming, paddleboarding, boating. - Arnie Lee
