Oh my goodness. The spicy garlic ramen is top notch! If that ramen was a boy I would marry it because I'm in love with it and don"t mind waking up to it every morning
Amazing gyozas and very decent ramen !!! Good alternative when totto is packed. It is just next door in the east location.
Great ramen ! Been a few times. They make you specify everything, here's what you should get: plain Tonkotsu (skip the Kumo garlic variant), wavy noodles , medium firmness, rich broth , + a seasoned egg
Delicious pork-broth ramen , good alternative to Totto's chicken base ramen on the ground floor. Half off appetizers during happy hours . They accept all major credit cards unlike Totto.
Love the ramen ! You can pick how solid you like your noodles and if you like then curly or straight. Black garlic is bomb! Order the fried chicken too
If you like variety, this place is for you. Unlike most ramen places , you can choose between wavy and straight noodles with varying levels of firmness. Lots of different toppings & broth choices too.
Try the fish based broth ramen . It’s so hard to find these, but this place has it ????
The Spicy Garlic was 10x more garlic than spicy - flavorful but a bit too intense. The edamame with garlic butter were some of the best edamame I've had. Oh also garlic .
The spicy garlic tonkotsu ramen with a poached egg and firm wavy noodles is a top 3 ramen in NYC. Rivals Ippudo in broth tastiness and noodles .
TimeOut #9 Ramen : "The best way to taste it is in the ma-yu ramen , There’s also a less sweat-inducing option—chewy chilled noodles , w/a side of soba for dipping—and add-ons like mini pork gyoza "
As everyone mention the first things you need to try are: Spicy Garlic Ramen , Garlic Edamame Butter and Fried Chicken . They also have Sapporo on draft which is the perfect combination.
Best ramen in NYC. A sister restaurant (same menu) of the always mobbed Totto Ramen on the West side but MUCH easier to get into. Black garlic ramen is amazing and best vegetarian ramen I've tried.
You can choose your noodle type and tendency. Go with wavy! I got firm which is medium and it was perfect.
Arguably ramen in NYC, both pork (black garlic is awesome) and surprisingly great veggie ramen . Sister restaurant of Totto Ramen on West side (same menu) but MUCH easier to get in. Great for lunch .
Midtown East's best source for ramen . Order the pork toro and the Hakata Kuro ramen , which comes with pureed charred garlic swirled in.
Top notch spicy pork buns and spicy garlic and miso ramen . Ponzu sauce for gyoza was sour...not good. Happy hour specials are killer.
Best vegetarian friendly ramen ! The vegetables are divine
The red dragon spicy ramen is wonderful. Sinus problems? Get it. I added an egg and had wavy medium noodles . Also liked the fried chicken appetizer .
Red Dragon is the way to go, best balance of spice and flavor. Other ramen were either bland or to salty. Don't let the three chiles next to the name on the menu scare you, it's not that spicy .
For a spicy kick order the Hakata Spicy Black Ramen - pork broth w/ original black spicy sauce . scallion , kikurage mushroom , cabbage , char siu pork
The summer lunch special will save you a few dollars on the majority of popular ramen dishes. Spicy garlic ramen was very good. The pork was more well done than I usually prefer.
Definitely the black garlic ramen . Broth is delicious and I normally don't drink the broth, because ramen broth is usually too salty. Go after midnight on Friday and get free extra noodle !
At Hide-Chan, ramen chef Kawahara focuses on tonkotsu (pork ) broth—a luscious, meaty soup , more cloudy than creamy. The best way to taste it is in the ma-yu ramen . Read more
Richly flavored broth is the highlight of this Ramen joint. Go for the Hakata Tonkotsu with very firm noodles and very rich (more pork fat ) – don’t be scared by the fleck of pork fat you’ll see.
Great, salty bowl of spicy garlic ramen w/ wavy firm noodles . Simple, fast, no-fuss experience. Will have to try the famous Totto Ramen (which is literally next door) next.
Pork buns are almost or as good as the ones in Ippudo. Garlic ramen is one of the best I've ever tasted. Go for the curly noodles !
Don't walk into Totto Ramen by accident, this one's upstairs. They're good at tonkotsu broths so skip the rest. Get some mayu (black garlic oil ) and crispy gyozas with it too.
Spicy Ramen with medium firm noodles really hit the spot. The spicy pork bun was better than regular pork bun . Happy Hour from 4:30pm-6:30pm. Half off drinks and apps. $2 Sapporo draft !
The ramen here is one of the best I've had. It's spicy nd had am the right flavors..can't wait to come back to try some more. The broth is light and not fatty.
Try the miso ramen but ask for it with spicy sauce on the side to add more flavor. I really liked the firm straight noodles but you can pick any firmness and noodle type!
The spicy garlic ramen is great, no need to worry about garlic breath! Whatever you get, Make sure to choose the wavy noodles for a traditional ramen experience.
Try this Japanese version of a slider for a side: Hide-chan Rice Burger - premium Japanese beef , nira, scallions , BBQ sauce , sesame , between rice buns .
Tonkatsu Miso Ramen w/ two free toppings during lunch ! But be careful of the crispy fried chipped garlic . I killed everyone on the plane ride home, but it was soooo worth it to keep adding to my soup !
One of the best kept secrets of NY. Sake , banging pork buns , amazing ramen (haven't had one yet I don't like), and Sapporo on draft ! Just no ramen take out :0(
Do not think twice and definitely come eat here. The spicy garlic Ramen is everything. And do not miss out on the pork basil dumplings they are phenomenal with the vinegar dip .
Very good ramen and quick service . Small but popular place. I will definitely go back to try other items on their menu though- very yummy food with good flavors.
My favorite ramen joint in NYC. Kuro ramen is delicious, as is the hakata spicy ramen . They now have cheese gyoza served with tomato sauce , interesting combo!
Spicy black ramen with medium wavy noodles and rich broth ! A bit salty but pretty good! wavy noodles are thicker than the skinny kind they usually put in tonkotsu ramen !
Delicious, heartwarming ramen bowls in Midtown. Great for single dining, sit at the bar and enjoy.
Love the Spicy Black Ramen , but if yoi don't like Spicy you can take the simple Ramen , also witht he black mushrooms and garlic oil ! Also the dumplings are wondeerful
Thu.–Fri. until 4 a.m.; Sat.–Mon. until 11:30 p.m. Order: Zen-Nose Deluxe ramen , with extra char-siu pork , egg , pollack roe , spinach , bamboo shoots , bean sprouts , onions , scallions , and nori seaweed .
Delicious ramen with a steakhouse-like twist: choose your noodle type and firmness level. Black garlic ramen with medium thin noodles is highly recommended!
Get the Hakata Kuro ramen . It used to be a special at Ippudo, but it's so much better here. Also, go after midnight for free kaedama!
Delicious spicy garlic with bamboo shoots and egg , wavy noodles firm!
Spicy garlic ramen (with poached egg ) is highly recommended - it does have a kick to it so don't drink the soup too quickly! Happy hour is also amazing here :)
Vegan friendly ! They use vegetable broth ! Just add what you like!!!
Great place if you like options on how your Ramen is made. Wonderful environment, if you are new to Ramen good place to start.
Great service and tasty ramen . I got the spicy garlic with firm wavy noodles as well as a spicy pork bun and fried chicken . 4/5
No crowd. Great prices. BEST RAMEN BROTH IN NYC. All ramen lovers must go here.
Get the Hakata Tonkatsu Ramen (right), or if you like a good kick, the Hakata Spicy Ramen (left).
Quick service and delicious noodles. Spicy miso ramen is definitely a winner. Will hit your ramen craving for sure. - Ranu Rajkarnikar
Best tonkotsu ramen. Good pork buns & baby octopus salad. Sometimes long wait--leave name on list & go drink elsewhere. ???? - Christine Ha
One free extra noodle after 11pm. Black ramen is always my favorite. The pork is so soft. Taste delicious ! - Jenn Kwan
The best froyo you can find. Ask to try a couples of flavours, then get a mix! Peanut butter and blueberry are my current favourites. - Nick Johnson
Was looking for a place to please the nephews, and not just they enjoyed the cupcakes , but I loved them as well. Get the hummingbird which is banana, I've read that red velvet is the best. - Mischa
One of the better pains au chocolat I've had in NYC. Buttery w/o being heavy, perfectly flaky, and a healthy amount of filling (double chocolate rolls: rich and not overly sweet). - Zayed Khan
