pork buns are great! so is the spicy miso ramen but the broth is a little thick because of the miso paste. I like that they give you the spicy sauce on the side so you can cater to your own taste.
The mega paitan is delicious. It comes with different meat choices with the noodles , all of which are very delicious.
Totto Spicy "Nibo" Ramen - spicy fish flavored rayu chili oil with paiten ramen , topped with pork , scallions , bean sprouts , onion and cabbage in a rich chicken broth . Get this. Flavor with a kick.
If you're interested in a lot of meat, get the Mega Ramen - its topped w/ a variety of char siu pork , garlic , onion , bean sprouts & scallions in a chicken broth . A lot of pork !
Service is quick esp if you sit at the bar . Watch them prepare the ramen right in front of you. Complex broth with great textured noodles .
Awesome spot. The mega spicy Paitan was so flavorful. Broth was top notch. A lil garlic heavy but one of my favs
Shorter lines than the Totto Ramen on 9th Ave, but same amazing ramen . A bit more seating, in the form of barstools and long tables.
Pretty good ramen , albeit a bit pricey . Broth is good and rich, but could be a bit more flavorful. Noodles were a good al dente . Sit in the back for AC because it's hot at the bar . Cash only .
Chicken ramen was superb. Get the poached egg and corn with it. The pork char siu was excellent too.
This is the Broiled Char Siu Pork - house specialty pork broiled and placed over a bed of vegetables . There's enough to share for two.
Less of an ordeal than Ippudo. Cozy laid back vibe, often possible to just walk in and the ramen is great.
Great ramen but a bit of an awkward set-up with seats along the counter and waiting times. The pork buns were amazing though!!!
A great chain known for chicken broth ramen opens a midtown east location! Same great taste with less wait. Cash only .
Totto Spicy Ramen is still the best bowl of ramen in the city . But if you want more heat, you can get the extra spicy ramen and ask for the spicy sauce on the side.
You know the ramen is good when the broth is the best part! Great prices. And the sake is great as well
Delicious ramen , wonderful experience. Super tiny place, but unbelievably fast service . This is what a true noodle stand feels like in Japan!
Spicy paitan was delicious! Savory broth and a tender chicken breast on top. One of the best noodles I've had in NYC.
Their spicy veggie ramen has one of the best vegetarian broths around (& I've tried a bunch).
Quick service and delicious noodles . Spicy miso ramen is definitely a winner. Will hit your ramen craving for sure.
The ramen here is what's up. If you're starving, get the mega ramen - it's huge! Quite possibly the best in the city . ????
Best broth in the city . If you would combine it with ippudo's noodles it would be a perfect!
Work in the city ? Prepare to wait about 30 to 40 minutes for a seat. Start with a pork bun , unbuckle your belt and annihilate a MEGA RAMEN . Be sure to warn your coworkers and the toilet prior though.
The. BEST. Ramen . In NYC. This is the 3rd of three posts in NY. All are damn good, no frills, yum.
Just like the original but so much more space! I'd recommend the Paitan ramen with pork and a side of pork buns , yum!
Spicy miso ramen is where it's at. Easily eat it three times a week. I'm gross, but whatever cuz it's so good. The pork buns are meh though.
Fantastic ramen . Try the spicy or extra spicy . Don't let the wait scare you off - they move customers in and out quickly.
Paitan ramen , Miso ramen , and spicy ramen are all amazing. Also get some pork buns to start.
This relatively new location on the east side is not as good as the original one in Hell's Kitchen, but good enough for a bowl of ramen .
Best miso ramen ever! Small and crowd place but it worths. People usually eat fast so I don't think it's a big waiting.
The ramen is great. But you better in finish it because there's no option to doggie bag it. Combined with cash only , they are really low on flexibility.
Some of the best ramen I've had. So good that I almost went back for a second time during my trip to NYC.
I like this location better than the original because the food tastes cleaner and better. But they need to still work on their service and work out the new restaurant kinks.
Always crowded not-traditional style ramen . I always order the extra spicy paitan .
The food comes out really quickly and the broth is always on point! They have vegetarian broth for vegetarians .
This is my ideal chicken broth . The extra spicy miso ramen is the bomb dot com.
The totto spicy ramen is really great, if you want something flavorful but not too spicy
They have the boiled egg down to a perfected science. Seriously, I know it's just an egg , but they cook it perfectly every time.
Dumpling filled fried chicken followed by spicy miso ramen = happy belly.
I feel like totto ramen on the west side have a better broth but the crowd it's less so better seating and bigger space.
If you want pork ramen , go upstairs to Hide-Chan (same owners); if you want chicken stay here for the best bowl of chicken soup ever.
Enjoyed the spicy nibo. Good broth, but a little too much pepper . Egg and pork were a great addition to the dish.
Another great Totto Ramen store. Try Hide-Chan next door for something equally fantastic, if not better.
One of the best Ramen I've ever had. Very friendly staff . Try the Ramune as well :)
Crowded and small place with charm. Must try Pork Buns and Miso Ramen , both amazing!
An excellent place to go if the wait at Hide-Chan Ramen is too long. I love the cucumbers appetizer .
Still the best ramen in the city . Creamy, garlicky chicken broth makes it magical.
#2 is the best dish ever. Spicy Paitan in chicken .
One of the best vegetarians broths I've ever had
Lychee Chu-hi! Cash only ; there are signs all over the place to remind you.
The broth for the Ramen is so good!! DEF. Top 3 Ramen place in NYC!
Chef recommends straight noodles and medium firmness! Get the spicy pork buns to start, so delicious! - Cosette Eliason
One free extra noodle after 11pm. Black ramen is always my favorite. The pork is so soft. Taste delicious ! - Jenn Kwan
Was looking for a place to please the nephews, and not just they enjoyed the cupcakes , but I loved them as well. Get the hummingbird which is banana, I've read that red velvet is the best. - Mischa
The best froyo you can find. Ask to try a couples of flavours, then get a mix! Peanut butter and blueberry are my current favourites. - Nick Johnson
One of the better pains au chocolat I've had in NYC. Buttery w/o being heavy, perfectly flaky, and a healthy amount of filling (double chocolate rolls: rich and not overly sweet). - Zayed Khan
