Fairmount Bagel

Get the sesame bagels as they're always fresh out of the oven. Step outside, have a bagel right there, and watch pigeons eat sesame seeds as your mind gets blown by the best bagel in the universe .

William H

I'm a New Yorker and I was impressed. The bagels are different than what I get at home, but man, are they delicious. They're small, so get a few more than you'd expect and nosh away!

Marilina Gustafson

This is definitely a must see in Montreal! They have the best and freshest bagels in town ! Fast service and it's very cheap ! One bagel is 0,80$ and you could choose different flavours! Just amazing!

Cooper Smith

Ask which type of bagel most recently came out of the oven. Order that one without thinking twice. (And pair it up with some chive and onion cream cheese )

Peter Cucè

Better bagels than anything in NYC. Get one w/ some cream cheese and eat it on the bench outside , weather allowing. I like it a little more than St Viateur , but they're both great.

Justin Ordoveza

The sesame bagel is amazing, it has a strong sesame flavor. The everything bagel is solid as well . Cash only

Cameron Dearsley

A must visit if you're in Montreal! Note: they don't put anything on the bagels — you have to do that yourself. Didn't realize this. Grab some cream cheese and smoked salmon and eat them at the park .

Kevin Rickert

If you're coming from a city like NYC, please do yourself a favor and get two bagels - they are basically mini bagels , but still delicious. CASH Only as well , so have your loonies and toonies ready.

Noah Weiss

Great bagels , almost a bit sweet. But take out only and need to buy your own toppings.

Grant Anderson

Very different than NYC bagels , in a good way: doughy and soft pretzel-like. Also, an everything bagel is an "all-dressed" bagel in Canada.

Elisa

St viateur has better everything bagels , while fairmount has better sesame bagels . Get the smoked salmon spread (La Boucanerie) to go with. Many nearby park benches to eat at!

Utkarsh Sengar

They only have bagel and no bagel sandwich , still very good! Grab a bagel , sit outside and the end it with an ice cream next door.

Ilyes El Ouarzadi

Get the smoked salmon bagel and a half dozen sesame bagels , hot and fresh out of the oven! The best bagels in town :) enjoy!

Gabriel Seah

Poppy bagel not fresh but still good - dense & flavorful. Got lox spread which had no discernable salmon particles but a strong smoked salmon flavour. It was very sweet.

Emma Hans

I find it odd that they make you purchase a whole tub of cream cheese , hummus , or jam if you want it on your bagel . They also do not slice or toast the bagels which is annoying if you're on the go.

Yuni Graham

I thought my cinnamkn raisin bagel was just okay. It wasn't amazing. I would have preferred it slightly warmer than how I received it but the service was prompt and efficient so kudos to that!

Meredith Blechman

I have tried many sesame bagels in Montreal and these are hands down my favorite.

Kate T

A very good bagel shop in Montreal. Crunch on the surface but soft inside. Taste good even in next day. I like sesame and garlic favourite.

Gabriel Seah

Sesame bagel was warm, dense & flavourful. It was generous with sesame seeds (it had more sesame seeds than the poppy had poppy seeds ).

Emily Wilson

If you want cream cheese or lox on your bagel look out for the sandwich menu next to the register

Gabriel Seah

Since comparisons with St Viateur are inevitable, bagels here are sweeter, slightly more expensive , had a more regular shape & were less brown, and there were fewer sesame seeds here.

Adele McAlear

The HJS smoked salmon spread is divine on the best bagel in town . If you're looking for something sweet, their cinna

Betty Mak

All dressed bagel - if you have left over foie gras from Au Pied Cochon spread on warm bagel and you really got something good..

Jeffrey Ng

Excellent and fresh bagels everyday!!! The best in montreal!! Unfortunately parking there is terrible and the fresh bagel is worth the trouble!!

E. T.

You can't go wrong with Fairmount. Solid bagels ... heck, they even made the trip to the space station! ????

Jake Smith

If you're going to get one, I suggest you also buy a half dozen to have for later. You'll be dreaming about these bagels for days after.

Poyan Nabati

Cash only . The sesame one was fresh off the oven and delicious. Others were stale unfortunately. I think the cinnamon and raisin bagel had good potential. Warning; garlic bagel was extremely garlicky.

Gnat Brain

St Viateur still my fav but a damn good bagel nonetheless. A little sweeter than what you would expect from a bagel .

Deborah Puiggali

Best bagel in Montreal ! Lot of choice salt or sweet

S P

Simply the best bagels in Montreal !

Stephanie Cheng

Must-try: lox and cream cheese on an all-dressed bagel . Remember to ask them to toast it!

C M

fresh bagels - nothing better. tout garni will change your life. just don’t try to bring them home or your life will smell like tout garni for a while.

Bommy

Sesame bagel has a crunch on the outside and pillowy chew on the inside. Nowhere to sit, cream cheese only by the tub, cash only .

Kate Shaw

Slight preference for St. Viateur, but both of these bagel shops are Montreal classic and fantastic.

William H

Garlic bagel has the perfect crunch. The matzoh are also great for quick bites .

Desiree

Sesame bagel with cream cheese and lox . Soft, chewy, slightly sweet bagel with the salty lox . Good stuff!

Mitchell Butler

Some of the best bagels in Montreal . Grab one to go and eat it straight from the bag.

Danielle Chutinthranond

Got the classic sandwich . Can't go wrong with sesame .

Monica Desai

More spongey than the competition but excellent in its own right!

Marie Stewart

MUST stop for me whenever I'm in town . Best bagels in the entire province by far.

Marc G

Best bagels in know of. I could eat there all day... and I almost do when I'm in Montreal.

Amanda Morris

The chocolate chip bagel is delicious. They're not as soft as NY style bagels and they have just a tad of sweetness to them. Good stuff.

Colin Lee

Compared to NY bagels , thought was avg. no where to sit and they don’t make bagel sandwiches

Tom

I like their sesame bagel but I prefer St-V. They're 24 hours and everything is fresh

Ugo Marceau

Hands down best bagel I've had in Montreal. Always freshly baked and ready to go.

????????????

The smoked salmon cream cheese bagel is a must try!!

Charles Nadeau

Simply the best. Leo's and other NY bagels just don't match up. Go there rather than St-Viateur.

Leisha Magsisi

Great bagels ! Get a dozen or just get a bagel to go. Cash only !

Bokyung Park

It’s chewy and slightly sweeter than The NY bagel . You have to buy cream cheese additionally.

Kathryn D

Grab a sack, sit on the bench outside . Bring your own creamcheese.

Sesame bagel was good. Comparisons with Fairmount are inevitable: bagels here less sweet (so sesame shone more), slightly cheaper, more irregularly shaped & browner, & more sesame seeds here. - Gabriel Seah
