Beach is a bit out of the way but it’s a huge empty swath of sand to make your own and play on. Cool big dunes as well .
Great beach , with parking and picnic tables close by so you don't have to lug your stuff far. Come early, parking is $10.
Beautiful n clean beach .. luv it.. best thing thy have BBQ grills..
Even if you are here, the person who tagged the beach did it wrong and Foursquare won't count your check in. Nice beach for sea lion and otter spotting at sunset .
Nice beach with good views
Great beach . Ample parking .
Beautiful, fresh sea air, beach is quiet & sparsely populated!
Bring a sweater because even though its a beach , it gets cold and windy!
Sand dollars. Sand dollars everywhere.
Just as the name says, the campground overlooks the beach and is beautiful during sunset. - Andrew Chao
Wonderfully long stretch of beach! State park, $10 day visit, full restrooms. - Morgan C.
Privately located, very neat and not crowded. Loved this beach. Will go next time again. - Naren
From the entrance walk toward the New Brighton State beach. It's a great walk and much less crowded than the south side of the beach. - Milton Coffe
an urban campground. If you like the beach it's super close but it's not a campground where you want to hang out all day. Use it as a base to explore the local area like Monterey instead! - Barbara Stephenson
Perfect beach to walk or run on. Gets busy on weekends but nice and quiet during the week - Angela
Good place to see sea otters and seals. Best viewing is at the end of the road at the channel opening to the ocean. Love the Sea Otter crossing sign. - eric bornemann
