Great venue, floor is slanted which makes the view much better, although after standing for 3 hours it can hurt your back standing on a slope!
Weird indoor castle thing going on - love it. Fantastic historical venue and pleasant staff .
Amazing helpful staff . Went out of their way to identify my needs and make my visit there enjoyable - without even been asked. Thank you so much
Best music venue in London . Intimate but spectacular. You can find out more about it by reading simon parkes' 'live at the Brixton academy' - great book !
The best venue for rock / alternative concerts in London. Great atmosphere and sound.
Don't worry too much if there's a long queue outside, it's quite easy to get near the front once inside (without pushing). Toilets and bar easily accessible too.
A huge theatre venue, Brixton's sloping floor gives you a fine view of any of the bands playing there, and there's usually 2/3 great shows per month for Rock lovers.
Fantastic venue. Great acoustics . If you can get standing tickets, go for them.
Great venue with visibility from everywhere thanks to the slopping floor. They take credit cards at the bar.Good acoustic .
The best music venue in London , hands down. Amazing gigs, always.
Possibly my fave venue in London. Just the right size, and the sloping floor means you can ser even from the back!
Saw The War On Drugs here. Cool venue. If you want to sit, buy a balcony ticket. Standing only on the main floor.
Fantastic venue. Once you're in you can't go out and back in again though so make sure you have everything you need before you go in!
Amazing amazing venue to see live music . Saw caribou here..psychedelic.
I couldn’t get a ticket for the ground floor but still got a good view from the balcony . Great place ????????
Awesome concert venue in Brixton. The XX opened up by Robyn ????
One of the biggest theatre venues in London and they sell beer . This is important when you're watching heavy metal. The sloping floor means there’s a good view from anywhere downstairs. Read more
The front few rows of the balcony don't have a great view . Better to be further back to see the whole stage.
The Academy’s famous raked dancefloor splits opinion – it allows the petit(e) attendee to see something of wht’s happening on stage, which is good, but isn’t exactly ideal if you fancy a boogie. Read more
Don't go to the Circle area, they won´t let you stand up even for a second to dance and enjoy the gig. Always go for the stalls tickets if u wanna have real fun.
Best venue in London! The only problem is the expensive drinks
Through all my life as a dj and music fan, o2 gets the award of the worst sound quality I've ever heard and I've had my fair share of shows all around the globe.
Great for music events . Went to the 2016 Top100DJs party here and really enjoyed the venue.
The stage is great; and a great experience. The black roof gives the impression that you are outside.
First time mixing here for the NME awards. So much history here. Such a cool venue
Best old school music venue in London ! Go to the balcony for great views
Catch the UK B-Boy Championships World Finals here in October and find out which crew, soloist, popper and lockers will reign supreme as World Champion!
Good views are to be had everywhere because of the incline of the floor.
Bug venue, good for gigs and nights out alike. Sloped floor towards the stage helps.
Authentic venue that make every concert magiacal.
Best venue in London for short people due to a natural incline. Serves beer in 2 pint glasses
Upstairs has seating which can be used for those wanting a more relaxed concert !
great venue! it's got a really good vibe to it
Great venue can be a bit annoying to get to woman’s toilet at next to front of stage.
Decent venue. Bars are quick, and the floor slopes for a good view from wherever. Acoustics aren't as good as Shepherd's Bush.
Love this place, feel like a second home. The venue is beautiful!
Beautiful interior , truly great venue. Sloped floor is genius!
Arrive with plenty of time to spare if you want to get a good spot
Had a great time watching massive attack - just wish they'd sort he queues out for drinks and stock some decent drinks. Terrible range of spirits and awful beer .
The floor going down at a huge slant means no getting angry at the tall person in front of you!
Saw James Bay here, was absobloodylutely great!
Good venue for concerts
Awesome venue once inside, completely not what I was expecting. Definitely avoid buying tickets from touts - get there early if you're in the G/A Circle too.
Big venue with raked floor for good views when standing.
Great venue but was over-crowded and was very difficult to buy a drink.
Great gig venue- good acoustics .
Nice concert venue , small and cozy
Absolutely brilliant. A temple for live shows.
Nowhere near enough bar staff to serve the thirsty hoards. Bar service so slow the venue may as well be dry. Preload, or being a hip flask.
Great venue but don't bother queuing for drinks absolute nightmare and overpriced but still a lovely venue.
One of my favourite venues. Well organised, good bars, great acoustics, and a varied list of acts. - G C
Great intimate venue. One of the best in London. If you get the opportunity to see live performances here do it! - MEL BROWN STUDIOS
Great concert venue, great sound, friendly staff. - Bebe O'Really
Great place for a night out. Good music, lively and lots of beers to choose from - Jackie Brown
Great cocktails and electric mix of customers- my favourite bar in Brixton - Claire Rollinson
