Great venue and amazing sound. Perfect place to see intimate gigs and the facilities are good. However, there is little to no a/c so if it's a hot day, be prepared to sweat - every where......
Witnessed the mighty Leftfield here and I was on the top balcony by the bar . Good sound and I felt like I was a raver back in '95 again. Was amazing. Could do with more bar staff though but still good
Great small place with amazing sound where you could see your favorite band so close like they are in your living room!!! :)
One of my favourite venues in London, specially for heavier gigs. Sound is usually decent to great and it doesn’t get absolutely steaming. The bar never has massive queues also!
Super organised and friendly staff . Cloakroom available. The toilets were even clean ! :-) Shepherds Bush Empire could learn a lot from this place!
Been to this venue twice to see City and Colour and Kids In Glass Houses. Loved each visit and the atmosphere was incredible. From Kentish Town tube station it is only a 2 minute walk.
Great venue. Could do with a more efficient bar set up though. Either more staff or quick pouring pumps you see at some stadiums would be a vast improvement
I have never experienced a venue with security overlooking the crowd as if they are in a watchtower, shining their torch at you if they think you doing wrong or just standing up!
Don't bring a tablet device with camera . Professional recording equipment and cameras are forbidden!(Cos I'd really bother to use the crap 3 mega pixel camera in a dark venue?!)
Standing position tip: go down the right hand side, to the bottom section and stand underneath the stairs neart he backstage door. Good side view and you should have a bit of space.
Great venue - staggered stage floor allows for good views for most of the crowd
Nice venue with good acoustics , small but spacey enough, creates a warm atmosphere. Friendly staff , not long cues.
Free parking is located in Regis Road after 6.30pm. There is also free parking at Carkers Lane after 6.30pm. Turn right at the Grand Union Pub/LA Fitness going towards Camden - please use the upper de
Brilliant concert , brilliant hall, sound, brilliant staff also to support me w few minor dissabities
Originally constructed as part of a chain of art deco cinemas with a spurious Roman theme the Forum became a music venue in the early 1980s... Read more
love this place! I've been there to a couple of brilliant gigs.
DOPE hip hop acts come here to perform . Not an amazing sound setup though. Try and push forward when on stalls level so you can listen with less distortion, we reckon.
The HMV Forum is the proving ground for many UK bands and international bands alike. Beer is average and sound can vary quite a bit, but if you get a good spot, it's a corker.
Not the cheapest bar prices in London but if you get to the front rails of the elevated area as you enter downstairs, you have the best view of the stage without getting knocked around all night long. Read more
Nice venue but not the best I've seen in London! It could have a slightly better sound, according to its reputation!
The cloak room queue is rubbish so be prepared. Rate the venue highly, good view from top of the staircase on the right, easy to get a pint. Sound is so so.
An intimate venue . Quick to get into, often very very hot, so be prepared.
Great concert venue , great sound, friendly staff .
If you're up on the balcony , make sure you're not wearing too many clothes ... Hotter than Gandhi's flip-flops up there.
Good view of the stage from downstairs bars - turn right on entering then stand against the right most wall, bars only get really packed prior to the headline act
Nice location. And good visibility of the stage even from upstairs.
Bar prices are obscene. Go to the alcove under the stairs for a great view .
Smaller compared to my usual O2 academy/electric brixton rave spots
Potentially great, intimate venue . I wasn't impressed with the sound system tbh we couldn't hear the artist that well at the back.
Relatively compact venue. Balcony seats are uncomfortable backless benches . Gigs seem to attract rowdy crowds who’d rather chat loudly over the music than listen to it. Unnecessarily brutish security.
Good sound system .
Grab a seat upstairs with your back to one of the soft walls for a great massage while listening to metal.
Great venue for more intimate concerts .
Good cheese and chips a couple doors down for late night food.
Lovely security guys work this venue. 3 for £10 deal on bottles of beer !
Great concert by leftfield
If you can get in early, the front spots behind and to the side of the sound desk, before the steps down to the main standing area has the best view of the stage with no tall peolpe in front of you. Read more
Incredibly thuggish and heavy handed security. Sound also leaves a lot to be desired
Warning; a small bottle of water £3. Stick with beers .
Good venue for gigs - terrible for comedy .
very good concert venue
Don't miss the Riverboat Gamblers , Sum 41, The Black Pacific and Veara here on 10/29!
The sound is utter shit. If you love a band, don't see them here.
Good venue
Book together to avoid being split by upstairs/downstairs tickets. If you're upstairs, they won't even let you use the cloakroom .
Nicer venue than HMV Apollo at Hammersmith but the sound
One of London's great gig venues. Read more
Nice old venue but with pints at £3.90 it's advisable to have a few in the Bull & Gate next door before going in.
Gigs, music
Don't stage dive. Tried it a few years ago, didn't make it, needed a knee op as a result.
The bar at the top is often quieter than all the others. View of the stage from the rail on the second level is great - Richard Hare
Weird indoor castle thing going on - love it. Fantastic historical venue and pleasant staff. - Ali B
Iconic London venue for any metal band passing through the city. It may be sweaty, grimy and dark but it's the perfect atmosphere for a great night of heavy music. Avoid the club night and then beer. - Caitlin Smith
The best place to hang out when you just arrived in London! The wifi is kinda slow and omg there are clever pickpockets. Love to come back soon for more beer time tho' xo @ambarsurastri - @ambarsurastri
Lovely high end young's pub. Beautifully restored with a restaurant out back. - Vic McGin
