They have new kiosks for Foreigners to scan their fingerprints and get a little slip of paper - hope not a contagious disease with everyone stick their hands on it!

Everyone complains about the lines , but they move pretty fast and after hundreds of entries no one has ever given me a hard time. The agents have even become kind of personable.

You need to scan your fingerprints -and- fill out an Arrival Card before going to the counter. If you hold up the giant line because you didn’t do it, the people behind you will be really mad.

China customs won't check your stuff, even you carry with weeds or Xtasy...lol Shanghai Pudong customs are the best of China gate.

Queues can be terrible but the staff are quite fast

This airport is one of worse airport that I don't want to use. Always long queue at the entrance security gate and Chinese people does not line on the queue. Immigration is always crowded ...

Take a stack of forms and pre fill if a frequent traveller!

Immigration officers work very fast and you can rate their work right there :-)

Took me ten mins to get to gate and clear through today. Mornings are getting better!

The Q for immigration can be really really long ... Be prepared

It’s free to apply for the e-Channel, but you can only do it when you arrive (not depart) at gate 80.
