The Portrait Restaurant by Richard Corrigan

25 October: Situated 92 feet above ground level on the top floor of the Portrait Gallery , it is a unique spot & offers stunning views over the National Gallery towards Nelson's Column & Big Ben .

Beautiful view and the afternoon tea was delicious. They even had real loose leaf tea ! Price is reasonable considering the quality

The restaurant is in the basement . It has a sitting area with transparent roof but the views are not that nice as in the other pictures.

If you're planning to go somewhere quiet , this isn't the place. Beautiful view & the food was good, but pricey . Staff are friendly . Good place to take elderly family.

Bar has a brilliant range of gins for a quality G&T such as Bloom with elderflower liqueur or Saffron served with cinnamon syrup and Xante pear liqueur !

The scones and tea were nice, combined with the nice view not too expensive .

Brilliant views over the rooftops of London towards Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament.

Tried to buy cakes with my pot of tea . They don't sell them individually. Only as part of the £20 tea formula...

Ex-pen-sive! Sandwich : one pound for a mini-bite!

Lovely views but the place is very noisy . The service is also not what it could be: having two waitresses coming in turn asking the same question can be bit wearisome.

Expensive drinks menu but nice for a special occasion .
