Gülhane Park

Take a slow stroll alongside the sea of tulips and then head to the simple family tea cafe on the further top on the hill with a groundbreaking Bosporus view and old fashioned tea pots.

Gülhane Park was once part of the outer garden of Topkapı Palace and mainly consisted of a grove. A section of the outer garden was planned as a park by the muncipality and opned to the public in 1912

Every time I go to this very special park next to the Topkapi Palace I feel lost in another century with its huge trees and melody of the birds that come from heaven.

Must! Just have a walk through whole park before going to Topkapi Palace , worth every single minute and at the end going right you will find great Garden to have coffee or tea .

The famous turkish poet Nazım Hikmet mentioned the Park in his poem "The Walnut Tree ". You should come here during the annual Tulips Festival , drink some tea , and let the spirit work its magic.
