With wild scenery, wild flowers and wildlife , Ballona Wetlands is famous for rare species. Keep your eyes peeled for falcons, pelicans or the unique red-legged frog. It’s a world away from LA.
The nearby Ballona Wetlands contain nearly 150 species of birds ; bring your binoculars and see if you can spot a few.
At Ballona Wetlands there are more than 150 bird species. Get your binoculars out for the hummingbird . You’ll need them. Its spider-web nests are just a half-dollar wide.
