Masala dosai. Vegetarian dish freshly made at Al Kamal 01-43. Generous potato-based filling. All their sambhar are savoury but subdued in spiciness

Sliced fish hor fun ($6). Simple yet filling meal from Wok Hei Hor Fun #01-94. Generous with vege . ‘La pok’ (fried pork lard cubes) toppings added last for crispiness

Soy sauce chicken noodles . Chicken meat from Hong Kong Soy Sauce Chicken #01-26 was succulent & tasty, although I failed to pick up any overwhelming aroma. The sauce for the noodles was thick though

Fried Hokkien noodles . Serangoon Garden Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle #01-48 serves it wet (I like!). However the flavours are light. 2 prawns for $4 & lots of taugeh (bean sprouts )

Roasted Duck & Char Siew from Fei Zai Xiang #01-91, Traditional Fried Hokkien Mee from Hock Shun #01-38, fragrant Chicken & Pork Satay but watery peanut gravy from Chong Pang c/o Soon Lee Heng #01-56.

Learnt a very important lesson - good food at hawker centers close on Mondays. Nonetheless the Traditional Curry Rice (#01-03) was really yummy! Though the curry could be a tad bit thicker.

The fried bee hoon at 2nd portion of the market is delicious. Do eat more chicken probably one of the nicer in the whole area.

Can't decide which to go for, ask for both. $3. I feel white is more outstanding

Breakfast bee hoon . Faith Nasi Lemak #01-30 serves a bland plate. However, fried chicken wing was crispy & savoury. Wd order again. Stir-fried cabbage is very wet

Delicious Fried Carrot Cake #01-33, awesome... Great taste.. Must try. Boss's believe:" Enjoy this fried carrot cake with noi guilt." But long queue.. Half an hour, still nt taken my order yet. :)

Bak Kee Satay Bee Hoon #01-40 nice

Fishball noodles . Ru Ji Kitchen #01-25. Predictable goodness from this chain (also @ Old Airport Rd & Holland Drive food centres)

Western stall has been here since I was a kid... And I'll never get sick of eating it every once in a while :)

Chicken rice . Hua Kee sees long queues daily. After sampling a plate, would I spend the 15mins queueing up during lunchtime? Not again

Prata . Ali Fatimah #01-01 makes them thin & chewy. Enjoyed both 'kosong' (plain) & with egg

Fried carrot cake . Although tasty, Fu Ming #01-49 uses less eggs . The overall dish is rather oily

Duck noodles : Seng Heng #01-28. D whiff of d sauce brought me back 2 my childhood. Meat was tender & tasty. Soup was not too thick, not too herbal. We'll b bak 4 more!

Revisited after renovation, still like the place for it's wide variety of great and affordable food!

Wantan mee : Fei Zai Xiang Sha Lai Wanton Mee #01-91 can hv a gd thing going, if they figure out their sauce. Mine was dry :-( Saving grace was thick, fatty, char Siew slices. Savoured every bite!

Bak Kee Satay Beehoon : Uncle merely wipes his hands on a towel then uses his bare hands to pick the ingredients, eww! Not the best satay beehoon I've had either. It's a nay.

#01-91 Fei Zai have great char siew , #01-19 is the famous commonwealth fried chicken wings , satay beehoona v good, the fried tauhu stall for sides is good as well !

Must eat here is the 芒果牛奶冰! Shld be frm 青天dessert shop. I used to live here ten yrs ago and hv been coming back at least once a month! Kway chap is also a def must have!

01-91 Fatty Cheong's Char Siew Rice is recommended! Should also try his brother's char siew at ABC Food Market ! Equally good

青天冷热甜品 bubur terigu and barley gingko bloody good!! especially the bubur terigu..Bak Kee satay beehoon nice also..but the sauce quite watery leh...would be better if can taste coarse peanuts

Lau pat sat yong tau foo has very nice & cheap choices, 2 bowls w/ close to 20 ingredients cost only $7.50;has the basic yong tau foo food which is more than enough!

红油抄手 and 酸辣拉面 from the La Mian stall is authentic and tasty. Considerably cheap for its reasonable portion .
