Roast meats . Sin Heng Kee #01-34 satifies another fan base than Fatty Cheong . Enjoyed my char siew (BBQ pork ), although their sauce has a hint of Chinese herbs. Comes with a bowl of cabbage soup
Look out for these 2 drinks/desserts stalls with funny names!Sipei COOL boasts of No. 1 Teh Bing, while GambaTEH serves Taiwan-style milk tea and also waffles with ice cream :)
Chai tow kway : Really enjoyed bfast @ Tanglin (name of stall!) #01-130. Steamed carrot cake was chunky. I cd taste 'chai por' (preserved radish ). Fried egg was not overwhelming the whole dish
Lots of good stalls here. Roast meat , Hokkien mee , chicken rice , Penang eats and power chendol too! Yummy!
Very good hawker centre in this area. Fatty cheong Charsiew, Wow wow west fish &chips , Lao Jian Cheng bak chor mee and Jin Jin desserts are the highlights. Good value and tasty!

KL-style black sauce Hokkien mee . Decent plate from Famous KL Hokkien Mee #01-110. Noodles were the thick type. Not as aromatic as I'd expect. 2 prawns in $4 plate, 3 prawns in $6 plate
Sliced fish soup from ABC Deli 01-48 sees long queues on working day lunch . Clear soup base is sweet but they could be more generous with fish slices

#01-13 Tiong Bahru Yi Sheng Hokkien Mee ; uncle takes his time to prepare the noodles . You will be rewarded for your patience with a delicious plate of hokkien mee that i rate as one of the best in SG.
Finally found very late night (almost midnight) proper dinner meal here after work. You know its a Monday night when the usual popular supper stalls close early or having their rest day of the week.
Wantan mee : I prefer the standard taste fr Cantonese Seng Kee #01-111, over Swee Kee #01-39 which has a strange-tasting sauce
Family gathering ytd and ordered chong pang chicken wings , jin jin dessert and zheng lin char kuay teow. Were all fantastic and tantalizing to the food lovers. A hub of fabulous food!
Fishball noodles : Head straight to Lao Jian Cheng #01-51 (formerly fr Farrer Rd) for ur breakfast fix. Fishballs are so genuinely handmade that we cd taste & smell d fish !

Beef noodles . The meat from Chinatown Beef King #01-115 is sliced finely & cooked. Some people prefer this easier way to eat
Fatty Cheong 肥仔祥 @ #01-120: One of the recommended Siew Yoke (Roasted Meat ) & Char Siew stall from food reviews. No stocks for walk-in customer on CNY eve, only entertain pre-ordered customers.
Pacific Fruit Stall @ #01-117 sells very interesting fruit juices such as cucumber and star fruit or apple and yakult juice . No syrup added too.
Looks like new liquor law doesn't affect patrons as long as they buy beer from drinks stalls & drink within the spacious food centre compound with strong fans & lights, eventhough its pass the 10.30pm
Malaysia Style Curry Noodles ($5.30). The recommended dry curry noodles from Guang Zai Malaysia Style Curry & Soup Noodles was OK only. Nothing outstanding other than interesting ingredients

Mango ice: I concur! Jin Jin's mango ice is a hit! Sweet mango drizzled w condensed milk , over a bed of shaved ice in carnation milk . Smooth!
Next time if u have claypot rice , try buy some otah from 2 stall away. Eat it together, the otah will give additional texture to your claypot rice . Try it next time!
The "ABC" came fr "Archipelago Brewery Company", Singapore's 1st commercial brewery back in 1931. Source: Remember Singapore
Beware of the scary cleaning lady who grabs your plates without asking, even when you're obviously not done yet. I had half a plate of awesome char siew cleared away, & no, there's no way to stop her.
Wow Wow West - delicious and superb value for money , Power chendol from Jin Jin, Penang char kway teow
Fishball noodles from Ah Ken #01-51 was average. Fishballs & sliced fishcakes tasted overcooked with little fish taste. They served pork-based soup with my fishball noodles
Bak Chor Mee (minced pork noodles ). Disappointed w bowl from Hosay Mee Pok #01-120. Unattractive flavours and unrecognisable tiny hard bits

Tiong Bahru Yi Sheng Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee 01-13 1130 - 1430 / 1630 - 1130 Very nice and famous. Found it after walking around for minutes. Need to wait for a while. Serving quite small. Yummy!

Fishball noodle : stall #01-121 is the clear winner in this food court ! Handmade , very chewy fishballs made our day
Super yummy food stalls are found here, never disappoints
Kopi. Preferred the kopi-C over kopi-O from Hylam Street Old Coffee #01-53. It masked the stale aroma found in just plain kopi
