Please do try to support this elderly man. He sells the cheapest tissue paper I know outta all the peddlers I've met. I think he's just trying to make an honest living. I've met horrid ones in Bugis.

Claypot laksa . Mouth-watering offering from Depot Road Zhen Shan Mei 01-75. Not overly salty, with the right balance of creaminess from the coconut milk . Claypot keeps serving warm throughout meal

Wantan noodles . Dover Road Kai Kee #01-09 serves old school style, and sees regular long queues. Best eaten as a dry version with their savoury chilli sauce

Hor fun (stir fried rice noodles ). Enjoyed both the beef & sliced fish offerings from Hor Fun Premium #01-78. We could savour the ‘wok hei’ (smokiness & char) with every bite????????

Zichar. Enjoyed hor fun (flat rice noodles in thick sauce) fr Hock Sin Kee #01-02. This $4 plate had slices of pork & fish , as well as prawns . Lots of ‘wok hei’ (smokiness). Will try other dishes????????

The hawker with the most nos. of fruit juice stalls selling avocado shake . Mr Avocado has the smoothest and strongest gula Melaka taste. Teochew braised duck rice is good. Muffin stall also popular.

August western food is awesome! chicken chop was pretty big and nice. the mash potato is crispy on the outside and soft inside. you can choose your side dishes too. auntie was friendly too

Rojak . Decent local fruit salad from stall “Rojak Popiah ”. Crispy toasted yutiao. Ask for less sugar and Aunty will gladly oblige

Kaya toast . Bulldog Coffee Corner makes its own kaya (coconut egg custard ) & serves it with SCS butter for their toasts. Substantial, creamy, fragrant

Roast meats . Fans make a bee-line to Lau Phua Chat #01-20 for their char siew (BBQ pork ) & roasted duck fix. Aromatic meats drenched generously in sauce. Free bowl of soup

Heng Hua food. Find this Fujian style from Pu Tian Delights #01-88. Enjoyed their Heng Hua Bee Hoon (with clams ) & stir fried yam

Peanut paste. Enjoyed this dessert very much, compared to their black sesame paste . From Desserts Pavillion #01-69. This Yin-Yang bowl $3

A wide variety of your usual suspects in hawker culture like chicken rice and sliced fish soup , plus more uncommon favorites like mutton beef soups and clay pot chicken rice

This shanghai la mian xiaolongbao stall definitely worth a try! Pan fried dumplings and spicy sauce dumplings are especially delicious.

Mr. Avocado - try the avocado shake . Very smooth and creamy.The Xiao Long Pao stall is also nice. A lot cheaper than DTF.

I like the famous soya chicken "Xiang Jiang Gu You Ji". Noodle also very nice...

After trying both Mr Avocado and Avocado King, I have to say that Mr Avocado wins hands down. Avocado King's tastes a bit acidic, which is weird.

Indonesian Butter Chicken Rice and Nasi Goreng with prawn paste chicken . These two never disappoints. Prepare for 15-30mins waiting during dinner time. But its worth the wait.

The dumplings at #01-31 Shanghai La Mian Xiao Long Bao are crazy good.

Claypot rice : Pleasantly surprised Tai Liok #01-66 really cook d rice fr claypot , unlike others which spoon in cooked rice to save time. Takes 30mins 2 prep each claypot . Ingredients generous too

Find this stall better than the rest here ... Try their sour sop or avocado or be adventurous n mixed both :-)) it's quite an interesting taste !

Pot stickers pretty good from this Chinese (china) couple ! If the filling were to be juicer it would hv been 8/10 !! Worth the try !

#01-20 Lau Phua Chay Roasted Delicacies is famous for their char siew . It's extremely black and charred though.

Avocado shake , I prefer stall 60. They have an interesting combination of avocado n soursop ! Nice balance between sweet n sour ! Nice :-)

King avocado trumps mr avocado . Creamier, with a durian aftertaste (not sure if this is just leftover from the previous round of blending). Mr avocado more diluted with tinge of chocolate .

Get the muffins from AJ delight. It's amazing. The at all faces the shophouse. But they don't sell muffins during Chinese new year period.

Super yummy pork leek dumplings from 01-56. Also love their spicy wontons ♡ better than restaurant quality.

This place has the best stewed pork with mushroom . Just next to avocado store facing the backend car workshops behind Alexander village food centre

Won't go wrong with Lau Phua Chay Authentic Roasted Delicacies 老半斋烧腊

Try out stingray and crab from Star Yong Kwang; satay from Old Punggol Satay ! Best food ever

Plenty of Zi char stalls open even for a Sunday evening. Not too crowded too.

Avocado drink, Chicken Rice , Char Siew and Roast Pork Rice are all good, among many others.

The Char Kway Tiow auntie was distracted with chatting and fried me an extra big portion . ????

Definitely try the avocado chocolate drink when you are here. It's one of the creamiest you can find in Singapore.

01-68 Claypot chicken rice - very tasty and big! Good value for $11

#01-57 Soon Lai BBQ Fish serves the best BBQ stingray . Its seafood fried rice is yummy too!

Shanghai La Mian has the best dumplings ever! Line up... its worth it ... and go the spicy option.

Thai food . Basil chicken rice with egg $5.50. Decent enough. Basil leaves could be more aromatic. Rice was lumpy, too much water used

Take your pick of delicious hawker fare here. Can't really go wrong here.

AJ Delights sells the best muffins ! I never leave the area without buying back at least half a dozen.
