Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee : Be prepared to queue and be rewarded for your patience with a delicious bowl of lor mee that i rate as one of the best in Singapore.
One of singapore's most well loved Food Centre in the East. So many stalls to choose from. Lor mee , fried hokkien mee , wanton noodles , satay , western food etc are some of the highlights.
Nasi Lemak . Home style tastes from Yahra Aini #01-34. Rice was aromatic. Chilli was especially sweet & spicy . While their set meal was $3, the fish is smaller. This plate is $4 with a bigger fish
Roast paradise Char Siew is the best char siew roast meat I ever had in 42 years.. Must try for anyone who comes here.
One of my favourite Ngor Hiang food stall : Seng Kee Ngo Hiang Prawn Cracker stall at Old Airport Road Food Centre, #01-29. Opens from evening till night about 11+pm. Good for finger food / pot luck.

Wantan mee : Tasted top 3 stalls here. Wantans were hard. Hua Kee #01-02 most well-rounded dish. Noodle q & fragrant, char siew tasty. Gui Hua #01-106 had most vege . Cho Kee #01-04 char siew dry
Nam Sing Hokkien Mee : One of the top few fried hokkien mee stalls in Singapore. The delicious broth stands out, be prepared for long waiting time during peak hours.
One of the best parts of SG for me. Vast food and drink selection at ultra affordable prices with a local feel. One thing is for sure, you won't be able to eat all the food you want to!
Prawn noodles . First impressions of Albert Street Prawn Noodles #01-10: soup is sweet! Smallest bowl is priced at $5.50, which comes with 3 mid-sized whole prawns
One of the few if not the best Hawker centers still in existence in Singapore. Lao Fu Zi char kuay teow quite close to the Malaysian style. Hope some traditions here get preserved
Sliced fish hor fun . Enjoyed dish from Hua Ji XO Fish Head Beehoon #01-118. From afar, hear the strong fire giving the flat rice noodles 'wok hei' (smokiness). Generous & thick slices of fish & vege
二十四味凉茶 (24-herbs tea ) at S$3 per bottle from Ng Tong San Herb Tea stall #01-50. The non-sweetened version has got mild refreshing fragrant of herbs, eventhough some still feel its bitter :-P
Local desserts . Enjoyed warm green bean soup w sago ($1.50) from Jing Jing #01-59. Comforting on a rainy day. Not too much sago , can still taste clean flavours in the soup 👍🏼
DIY popiah : Fortune Food #01-94 sells handmade (actually central kitchen) popiah skin ($15/kg), ground peanuts , crispy bits, chilli sauce , etc to host ur own popiah party @ home. They deliver too!

Fried oyster omelette . Prefer preparation from Famous Old Airport Fried Oyster #01-54. While oysters are smaller, the dish is well fried w crispy bits. Chilli dip has the right level of tanginess

Dum briyani . Selera Rasa #01-42 sees regular for their simple yet yummy rice offering. Besides mutton , chicken & fish , they also offer fried chicken . Wallet-friendly $3.50

Western food . Yummy chicken chop from Western Barbeque #01-53. Well-marinated, evenly grilled, with a thin layer of crisp. $6.50
Pork congee . Bowl from Freshly Made #01-155 is decent, unless u r expecting finely-meshed grains. Queuing up to order is another matter, joining the same wait for chee cheong fun (steamed rice rolls )
You can get everything here. Especially recommend oyster omelette (orh lua), and goreng pisang . People also seem to enjoy the lor mee , and the rojak here. (Nam Sing Hokkien Mee also very famous)

Roasted Pipa-style duck noodles . Sampled a bowl from Eat 3 Cuts #01-66. Meat with aromatic with crispy skin , but meat itself was tough to chew. Chilli sauce was a highlight too
It's a great place for friend gathering. Whereby each of you can order a dish. At the end, the table would be full of variety yummy dish.
The tao payoh rojar is a must after your meal here. The thick paste provide with jelly fish is comparable to the one situated in Tao Payoh HDB hub. Order the $3 serving if possible. :)
Excellent mutton soup at Hougang Jing Jia Mutton soup stall 01-123...Tucked at the back row, away from the main road .
Braised duck rice . While good value $3.80 set for additional half an egg & some tofu , my sliced duck meat serving were fatty. Rice had yam cubes but not fragrant. Soup is the herbal type. From #01-17
Fried Hokkien Mee . My plate from Nam Sing 01-32 tasted dry, instead of the usual wet style I've eaten elsewhere. On top of that, each mouthful lacked the distinct aroma as well
Chee cheong fun (steamed rice rolls ). The queue at Freshly Made #01-155, like many other handmade CCF stalls , is due to the preparation of ur order. Nothing outstanding
