There are three popular Ba Chor Mee stalls: Xing Ji, Seng Hiang and Ah Poh. I personally prefer Xing Ji coz of the Q noodles and flavour of the soup . Don't forget the stingray at Chan BBQ too.
The Chai Chee Porridge in my opinion, one of the best in Singapore. They have a branch located at Tampines round market that opens in the Morning. Taste wise still prefer this one though.
Bak Chor Mee for breakfast . The popular stalls for the soupy version don’t open till dinner time. Residents recommend Teo Hong Fishball Minced Meat Noodle #01-48 instead. Clean flavours
Battle of Bak Chor Mee at Bedok 85. Its official in my books for Xing Ji (inner stall) vs Seng Hiang (outer stall). SH wins for noodles n soup . XJ wins for pork balls only. Order both! #ThomtoriEats
Prefer Bak Chor Mee Soup from Ah Poh Minced Meat Noodle #01-18 for late night dinner . They have removed most of the spicy seeds in red chilli , so its like crunchy veg to give some kick the meal :-9
The bak chor mee is spectacular cos it's a soup version. Next is thr Ahballing, really good and cheap too! The porridge , satay beehoon , oyster omelette , chicken wing are essentials.
Rice porridge . Expect predictably tasty & filling bowl from veteran Chai Chee Pork Porridge #01-23. Thick rice porridge with substantial porky ingredients. This bowl $4.50 +50-cents per egg
One of my top ten hawker centres. You'll find lots of delicious foods here, in addition to the famous bak chor mee stalls.
Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake ). The stall most 4SQ tips is referring to is Bedok 85 #01-63 (day) & #01-10 (night). Crisp, fragrant, and in big chunks
Xing Ji Rou Cuo Mian (#01-07), one of my go to stalls when i have craving for soup version of bak chor mee .
Kopi battle. Sampled kopi from Sang Lee #01-49 & The Blend #01-66. The Blend won hands down being thicker, more bitter & aromatic
Chan BBQ , Oyster Omelette ,Satay , Chicken wing , Chai Chee Porridge and dry bak chor mee ! Just opposite my house, sadly I will be moving out soon. :(
Xiangcun Traditional Fried Oyster is worth a try! Big Oysters , lovely gloss over the omelette . Xing Hi has super q noodles and interesting combi flavour in a spoonful while Seng Hiang has good soup
Fried carrot cake from the corner stall is not bad , firstly they steam the radish cake themselves as others buy ready fr factory . That's where the difference comes in ????
Caifan (economy rice ). Popular with residents for its affordability is Shi Wei Da #01-41. This plate of homestyle dishes $3.50
Love the ah bo leng dessert , soft pillowy balls of sesame paste in a fragrant almond soup .
Ah Balling (‘Tang Yuan’ or gluttonous rice balls ). Make a beeline to #01-25 for their signature rice dumplings with ground sesame seed filling, paired with peanut soup
The original bak chor mee is Xing Ji Ruo Cuo Mian 兴记肉脞面 #01-07, the stall Seng Hiang used to sell you char kway , and they had no business, so they secretly learn from Xing Ji Ruo Cuo Mian, and now the
I always find myself in a dilemma when I eat at this hawker centre. Ba chor mee (both stalls), chicken wings , carrot cake , porridge , sambal stingray ... All of above average quality to say the least!
One of my fav market place for food.
ATMs. In front of stall #01-01, there are ATMs for POSB/DBS, OCBC & UOB
01-06 carrot cake . Delicious, $3, and with prawns ! Omg value for money
Long queue for the satay beehoon . One of the best you can find in Singapore.
Bak chor mee is a must-have, needless to say, but what's special is the chilli hotplate cockles from Chan Seafood ! Go for the $8 as the $5 is definitely not enough! Also go for Chai Chee porridge
Chicken wings and Carrot cake are good too.
Lots of good food here but I can never resist bah chor mee. Get from the stall that sells only the soup version.
Try carrot cake from 85 Bedok North Fried Oyster #01-10.
Love their carrot cake and fresh oysters .
Bak Chor mee showdown. Two good stalls to choose from and the porridge/chok stall is not bad too. Just follow the ones with longest queues.
Bak chor mee (soup ) only $2.50!!! Add on a bbq grilled stingray & a plate of fried oyster and you're good to go!
Porridge , bak chor mee (minced pork meat noodle ), local desserts .
My usual food combination without fail: Bak Chor Mee , Stingray , Satay , Sugarcane Juice , Chicken wings , Carrot cake . Awesome is an understatement. 'Nuff said.
Eat the so-called famous bak chor mee here..but prepare to wait. Try ordering for a bowl of dumplings (kiao) if you're lucky enough. I heart it! (except Sat, Sun & Mon). =)
Mmm.. I like e wang wang seafood guy e way he does biz. When he does his shouting n calling on customers sounds realli geeky n leaves a impression on ple. Food also nt bad esp his lala n stingray .=)
Famous for bah chor mee, Orr luah, carrot cake , BBQ stingray , western food , century egg minced pork porridge , ah balling, and many more!!!
Chan BBQ , Chai Chee Porridge . Also shd try the Satay Bee Hoon , the one nearer to the Overhead Bridge . Bak Chor Mee , soup version seems to be unique, cannot find this style anywhere else.
What I always have: BBQ chicken wings , sambal BBQ stingray & chicken satay . Especially crowded at night!
Not sure how I feel about the oyster omelette however the lady that sells it is very funny. Cracks jokes and smiles all round
Grated coconut . Stall #01-148 sells this
Buy your coffee or tea only from sang Lee coffee shop #01-49 in the morning. BESTTTTTT.
Always a must, meow Xiang vegetarian bee Hoon , long queues
Must try the ba chor mee(soup )!!!! Xing ji rou guo mian has the better one compared to seng hiang food store. Soup is heartier, noodles a lot better but meat balls tastes the same.
Must must must eat from Rice Palette... Very tasty selection of diff rice ...my fave is sambal fish with olive n tomato rice ...
Try omage food 01-69 for mee Tai Mak and dry laksa !
Best delicacies in the east!
love the food, dislike the cleanliness of the centre.
There's still wide variety of delicious food choices at this food centre on Monday 10.45pm.
Oyster omelete is fantastic and must-haves for my every visit here! Tang yuan with peanut for those who are only here for desserts !
Best barbecued stingray ! Chan BBQ but for chilli lovers only! Very hot!
There is good for gathering with friend to eatBBQ satay and stinray, minced meat noodle and carrot cakes .. Die die must try
