Ok, I know sushi is tempting but the market has all kinds of street food that you would not get back home. It's probably one of the best place to get all the authentic food!
Sushi here is a must try and die for!! Freshest sushi I have ever eaten. Big like to the master chief of #sushidaiwa who served us great sushi and big smile ❤️????????
After a big Friday night we drunkenly queued for the 5am Tuna Auction (epic) before running through the market and finally curing our hangover with fresh sushi (and a beer ) at one of the restaurants .
Amazing selection. Get a donburi w uni, salmon roe , and salmon . Its sweet salmon roe ! Also get a mochi with custard and strawberry . Nom!
Must see in Tokyo! be quick as the market will soon be relocated. If you want to see the auction be there before 2 am. The amazing food is everywhere but don't fall into a tourist trap!
A large variety of little merchants, you find many fresh products here. Great opportunity to try local food. Very busy.
Definitely worth a visit. Be sure to squeeze into the small alleys in the back - there are some excellent restaurants .
I'm glad I got to visit before it gets relocated. Busy even after the auction but it just means more opportunities to get your hands on fresh sashimi !
The freshest sushi around, at rock bottom prices. Don't forget to explore the other stores around, such as the kitchen equipment, and the dried herbs and nuts sections.
Super crowded , but a very fun area to go to! Don't go carrying a huge backpack or too many bags cause the streets are small. Cheap and yummy street food !
The oldest fish market in tokyo where formerly did the tuna auction . Despite the auction has moved but the fresh market still worth to visit to try many amazing seafood food stalls . #TravelingTokyo
A cheaper alternative to Tsukiji Market . The quality of food and goods sold here are still amazing nonetheless, as an ordinary tourist you won't be able to discern the difference.
Best Sushi 's around. Fresh and so yunmy. SushiDai is to die for but the lines will take you hours to get in.
Have some tamagoyaki for breakfast , but don't wander too far because few shops have trashcans for your tray and fork. Few coffee shops , but tons of fresh seafood , sushi , and assorted edibles.
Even though the inner market has moved away, the outer market is still an interesting place to visit and where to taste some sushi starting from early morning
You can have anything here and it tastes good! You can also find Master fish carvers at work here!
Bring cash and try a bunch of seafood and other things on display. Excellent quality here, even if the main market has moved elsewhere.
A must in Tokyo. Great experience. Tuna is super fresh and cheap . Japanese omelettes are also tasty
Get around. Try the free samples . And even if language is a barrier, don't be afraid to ask. Everyone is very helpful.
although the fish auction has moved, there's still plenty of stores in the area which sells fresh seafood and lots of street food to enjoy, and so many restaurants to pick from.https://t.co/qbsQxqjuHc
Taste the fresh catches of the day make by the sushi shops inside, pick one you like!
A great introduction to the fish market . So much to see and eat! Try the crab stick if you see it!
Eating sushi here is a must! Most go to sushi dai but I went to the one on the other end and it was fantastic
even though the main market area has moved, there's still lots of stores to explore here, fresh seafood and snacks everywhere. https://t.co/lxHCFy0Eoc
The freshest seafood and produce. Lively market everyday. Don't know when they are actually shutting down but would be such a pity.
I would highly recommend checking the market out. Come super early and be aware of the foot and car traffic. Take lots of photos! :D
Day Two (5am): Rise before sunrise and head to Tsukiji, the world’s biggest fish market . Peruse rows of unidentifiable maritime creatures before tucking into the world’s freshest sushi breakfast .
Sea grapes - umibudo - sold at a stall at the opposite corner from the Information counter
Kinda lost its charm with the inner market closed and more tourists than locals
Many areas have no photography signs due to the sheer number of tourists passing through but if you don’t get in anyone’s way and ask permission first it’s usually fine
Lots of stalls closed on Sundays, but can still find some. Unitora is open!
If you want to experience the food without the lines (well less lines ) visit when the inner market is closed.
Fatty tuna sashimi is a must-try. You can only have it in Japan. :) oishi!
Walk around and eat standing from the various places, this way you'll try many things ;)
Don't know what the future holds for this area but a great place to check out and avoid massive lines of inner market
Definitely touristy . Definitely crowded . But definitely a must-see when in Tokyo
Skip Dai and Daiwa and go around the corner. There's much less crowded and just as good spots with no lines . Watch out for traffic.
If you don't want to wait ridiculous amount of time for what's in the inner market , the outer market is a great alternative.
Do not hesitate to taste these sashimi tuna....yummy ????????
the outer market is very good, a lot of food
Nice fish market , but it's really crowded , try all the snacks you can!!
Amazing fresh seafood worth the money! ???????? A place for seafood lovers!
Don't come back w/o tasting sushi nearby bars . To see the whole action u should go there around 4-5am!
It was already a total zoo at 9am, but interesting to see. Don’t expect the slightest chance of getting into any of the sushi counters closer to the inner market .
Super delicious uni cream rice
This place is amazing! Fill up with food from the street vendors!
Come around 9.30am to enjoy the real wholesale fish market too
Looking for fresh sashimi ? Then u r in the right place!
Gets very crowded but the best place to go for your seafood fix
Interesting to walk around, I guess most westerners won't buy much of what's being sold here though.
Great sushi restaurant in the fish district! You can choose the dishes that you like while they pass in front of you! - Christos K
Braised beef Gyudon is unlike any other Gyudon I've ever tasted. Excellent and flavorful, perfect on a rainy morning, and even better when paired with beer! - Yuen Haw Hor
this place serves very good seared bluefin tuna don and sashimi don. lots of local eat here too! - Mu Yap
The best view of the tuna auction is from the lower observation deck, which requires a ticket ahead of time. You need to apply for the lottery online at the Toyosu market website for this ticket. - Steve Woodrow
A wonderful place to walk around and enjoy nature. Visit the 300 year old tree just inside the entrance. There’s a lot of history here. - Brandon F.
Famous Tamagoyaki, which literally translates to grilled egg. This japanese style omelette has sweet taste, nice for breakfast & 100Y is reasonable price. Highly recomended to try it #KulinerTokyo - A Hazet
