Go here for awesome views of planes taking off and landing at Reagan Airport . Great running/bike path too!

Duck! The park is at the north end of National Airport . You don't need to wait long to get a great view of a jet plane coming in low and landing at DCA using the "River Visual" approach on Runway 19.

The Ritz-Carlton

Wonderful city views and THE place to enjoy July 4 fireworks , but it’s the drama of arriving aircraft at Reagan National just a few hundred feet away that makes Gravelling Point Park unforgettable.

This park is well known in the aviation community for its view . Pack a lunch and enjoy the experience. Want to find like-minded folks? Search twitter for #planespotting and/or #avgeek. Ur pal, @user47

Love coming here on my bike . Great rest stop located at the end of the runway at Reagan National . Planes are very low and very loud when they pass over you. Never gets old.

Make sure you check the weather to see which way the wind is blowing. As cool as seeing planes take off, it's even cooler to watch them fly over your head and land.

Andrew Bajwa

Hands down best spot to watch landing aircraft, river traffic, sunsets , the DC skyline. It's a marvelous relaxation spot !!

JohnWayne Hazell

Relaxing atmosphere for picnicking ... Love to see the planes go by. Went here trailing with AylaBrooks a lot.

A great spot to watch the planes fly in; it’s almost constant!

Peter McGrath

Good place to watch planes take off and land at National Airport , but stay off the trail unless you want to get (deservedly) run over by a bike or runner.

Heidi B

It can be busy on weekends. Bring a blanket & sit under a tree . There are only port-a-pottys here & they are nasty! Bring your own toilet paper & hand sanitizer (there are usually none of either).

Andrew Raker

Who knew watching planes land and take off would be so popular? Based on the number of people here, it sure is! (And I've enjoyed it, too!)

Manuel Arrington

A great place to come and decompress. Have a cigar smoke and watch the planes at night.

Brad B.

Great views of the planes coming into DCA and the most parking on the GW Parkway
