The museum is really great, a little small but the quality is great. Very creative activities for the kids and there’s an awesome interactive animal exhibit on the roof.
Great for kids and adults.
There’s so much to do!! Don’t forget to go to the rooftop garden if the weather is nice!
We take the kids (3 & 6 yo) here often. They love this place, especially the rooftop area and the human hamster wheel .
Such a cool place, especially for adult events like the one I attended!
Great place to take your 4-6,7 year old to have a fun time. Also a parking ramp is just across the street from MCM which is great!
Teach your kids about nature and let them plant flowers , collect chicken eggs , play in tree houses, and play on local natural materials.
Very impressed! Much nicer and less chaotic than the Chicago children's museum !!
Voted Madison's Favorite Museum , Chilrens Activity, and Spot to go on a rainy day by Isthmus readers!
Admission can add up if you bring the whole family
MCM hosts monthly themed Adult Swim nights- grab a beer and enjoy the hamster wheel !
The membership is one of the best deals out there!
The roof top is awesome.
The rooftop gardens are worth the ticket price. Views of Madison + live chickens are great!
Check out the rooftop garden -- when we visited, there were little baby chicks walking around that kids could feed and pet .
Amazing fun for the kids. Worth every penny of the membership !
LEED Gold certified building... They used a TON of recycled pieces when building exhibits
Make sure your child is wearing clothes that can get messy! Also, bring an extra pair in case they get wet. :)
Lots of fun choices on activities!! Loved the crows nest on the roof !!
Paint on the windows, run in an adult-sized hamster wheel and savor delicious views of the Capitol from the rooftop play area .
A little small, but kids will love it.
The Madison Children's Museum is hosting several events during the Wisconsin Science Festival Sept. 27-30. WiSciFest.org
They have a great 5 and under area
Lots of very cool, hands-on experiences!!!
Make sure to visit the rooftop garden and you might see some chickens .
Great staff .
Bring extra clothes if your kids play in the water room!
Nice place but probably suited more for the younger kids.
Great museum , but the construction around it and crowd is a deterrent.
