Cheen The Curious

A very longggg hawker centre. Approximately 106 stalls. Toilets in the middle, separating blocks 79 & 79A. POSB ATM at the start of Blk 79A

Cheen The Curious

Lor Mee . Soon Lee #01-07 dishes out a really tasty bowl. Clean sweet flavours. Enjoyed their traditional ingredients added. Nicer with a splash of vinegar

Cheen The Curious

Fishball noodles . Ho Jia Bo? 01-59 serves up a hot & decent bowl of fishball/minced pork noodles . Fishballs are big, succulent. Lady cook is friendly

Cheen The Curious

Fried Hokkien Mee . Really flavourful plate from Kim Hai #01-102. This $4 has 3 mid-sized prawns . Chilli packs a punch. Stall opens from 10am. Closes on alternate Wed

Cheen The Curious

Fried Hokkien Mee . Authentic Fried Hokkien Mee #01-82 (right) was wetter, more aromatic & flavourful, with punchier chilli paste — compared to Kim Hai #01-102. The waiting time is also longer ????

Cheen The Curious

Traditional desserts #01-59. Enjoyed a bowl of mixed red & green bean soup ($1.70). It is cooked with orange peel , a nice aroma boiled into the soup

Cheen The Curious

Fried Hokkien Prawn noodles ($4). Dry style from Tian Seng #01-10. Salty by my standard. Served with 4 mid-small fresh prawns . No squid slices. Chef adds ‘la pok’ (fried pork lard cubes) upon serving

Shn Juay

#01-06/07 Song Kee fish ball noodle has the best noodle texture & Soon Lee lor mee is the best in Singapore (for me at least) so far~~

Jonathan Lim

Fried hokkien mee from Kim Hai (#01-102) is yummy!

Tracy Ling

Soon kee kitchen is always dependable for good, great tasting zi char dishes. Particular favourites are the butter prawns/calamari, petai and prawns and beef hor fun !

Cheen The Curious

There’s a POSB ATM at the southern end of the hawker centre (Blk 79A). It also accepts cash deposits. UOB ATM is next to this

Cheen The Curious

Oyster omelette $8. Ghim Guan #01-60. Enjoyed the tasty chilli dip . Wish fried eggs were more aromatic. Oysters were not plump

Cheen The Curious

Limited carpark spaces next to hawker centre. The ones opposite are reserved for residents after 7pm. There is an MSCP at Blk 31A, abt 5 mins walk away

Cheen The Curious

Fried Kway Teow $3. Decent plate from Authentic Fried Hokkien Mee #01-82. Dry savoury style. No cockles but ate slices of fish cake & Chinese sausage . Lacks ‘wok hei’ (smokiness)

Cheen The Curious

Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake , $4). Very egg-y serving from Hao Cai Delight #01-16. Aromatic

Cheen The Curious

Vegetarian dumplings stuffed with carrots & mushrooms . From Yu Long #01-85. Boiled ($7), fried ($8). Better for sharing as they can get quite bland after eating a few

Elizabeth Ploy Teo

This stall’s carrot cake is nice! Especially the white!! The chili is a MUST TRY! ????

Cheen The Curious

Mee Goreng $4.50. Dry preparation from Rabia Muslim Food #01-96. Lacks flavour. Chopped cabbages , a random green, some potato slices & fried egg make up the ingredients

Julius Polim

Soon Lee Lor Mee , the lor mee is the best in singapore, really loves it. A must try, but the only minus is they do not want to separate the soup for take away :(

Deedee C

Western food on stall 01-27 beside 28 BBQ has the best black pepper lambchop! ????

Ben Loo

These 2 stalls e best of vegetarian food to try! ")

Buck Seng Ng

I've not seen so many vegetarian stalls in a single hawker centre...

James Lim

Must try 'ho jiak bo?' Noodle stall. The best mushroom noodles at a great value

Ben Loo

Best vege ramen , satay , otah, nasi lemak from these 2 stalls. All time favourite! ")

Cheen The Curious

Vegetarian chicken chop ($8). Poor execution by popular Victor Veggie #01-92. Batter didn’t coat well around the mock meat . Baked beans were served cold. Saving grace was the black pepper sauce

Raymond Chua

There are at least 10 vegetarian stalls here. Heaven for vege lovers

Not really a breakfast place. Much quieter than the nearby Blk 89 Circuit Rd Food Centre. Only comes alive at lunch & dinner/supper time.

Ana Mendoza

Nasi/Mee/Kwayteow goreng & Sup kambing from Rabiah Indian foodstall. And the rojak from the chinese stall too. Nice!!
