After over a year of major renovation, the food centre is now open again with many returning stalls and new stalls. Higher ceiling with more seatings, cleaner and brighter.

Parking lots aplenty. Parking around the food centre fills up fast. If u don't mind walking slightly & pay lower parking fees, try the open-air HDB parking . Nearest are blocks 74-75 Marine Drive

DIY popiah : Fortune Food #01-173 sells handmade (actually central kitchen) popiah skin ($15/kg), ground peanuts , crispy bits, chilli sauce , etc to host ur own popiah party @ home. They deliver too!

Char kway tiao is delicious! Wet and sweet type, so it has to be ur type for u to like.

Unique 'chai png' (mixed rice ). Emmanuel Peranakan Cuisine #01-30 positions itself as a Peranakan stall. Lots of dishes, many of them spicy , to choose from

Have been sampling mee goreng around the island for past month. Hass Bawa #01-150 prepares the most moist. Basic plate served with some minced mutton meat (which other stalls didn't)

Economy rice ('chai png'). Pricey dishes from Xing Long Cooked Food #01-20. This plate of 2 vege + 1 meat was $4.50 (meat: $2, vege : $1). Braised pork and sauce were fragrant though

Beancurd with red bean ($2.40). BT&U #01-47 serves their silken beancurds cold. Hot desserts change daily, & can include: tang yuan (glutinous rice balls ) in ginger soup , red bean soup , tapioca soup

Nasi Lemak . Shiok serving from D'Authentic Nasi Lemak #01-36. Fragrant rice paired well with their sweet sambal & crunchy peanuts/ikan bilis combo????????

Wantan mee ($3.50). Decent plate fr Soon Soon Soon #01-16. Wantans were a mix of boiled & fried; small, with very little filling. Char siew (BBQ pork ) slices tasty & generous. Lots of vege

Western food Enjoyed pork+chicken combo ($11) at Pang Pang #01-50. Tasty & well-cooked meats with crispy burnt bits. Stall also offers individual meats: chicken , pork , beef , lamb

Many varieties here. I personally like the roasted duck rice/porridge stall next to the dim sum stall . The roasted duck is superb

Must try stalls: Oyster Omelette , Hong Kong Dim Sum , Katong Curry Puffs , Char Kway Teow (Fried Flat Noodles with special black/sweet sauce) with Cockles , Chwee Kway , Yong Tau Hoo..all yummy!

Roast meats . Roasted duck from Long Chen #01-09 was tender but dry. I got the fatty char siew (BBQ pork ), juicy & well-caramelised. Gravy is a tad too sweet. $5.50 for this combo

I like the Assam fish at grandma's recipe. I find their cooking good cos less oil, not so salty, more towards home cooked flavour

Must try dapur mama chin ayam penyet , very generous with chilli and soup . also must try here green apple yakult juice

Stall 01-185 Xing long cooked food : Fantastic fare of home cooked food . Long queues never stop.

Nasi Padang . Fresh dishes from Yok Mari Yok #01-03. Enjoyed the fish curry

xing long mixed rice : the meal summed up to $5.50 - hardly economical by hawker standards, but the food quality made up for the price premium. it could have been warmer though.

Must Try The Popiah @173. Taste So Good. Ask the Uncle For littlebit Spicy for the Popiah ????

Dim sum at Neptune wasn't earth shattering like the reviews say. The best dim sum for me are still the one you get at 51 old airport road food center. Roast pork on rice is good though

The duck rice near the book stall is the best! Roast pork is soft, duck is delicious, cha siew is great!! The duck rice is very fragrant!

Check out thier Ice lemon tea .. One of there best in singapore.. A must try!!
