C & O Restaurant

First time visit to Charlottesville and chanced upon this great find. Excellent food quality and very attentive staff . Every dish we ordered (8 in our party) was a delight and oh so yummy!

Maybe the perfect restaurant : extremely charming and all the food is a hit. The sweetbreads here might be the best thing I ever ate. Chocolate bread pudding also ????

Just head to the bar . Intimate, cozy , warm on a wintry night, friendly bartenders . If you are wanting a full dinner or taking your parents out sit upstairs and then head down for a night cap or two.

This place can do no wrong. We had sweetbreads , short rib special, trout , beet salad . Everything was amazing. Very relaxed atmosphere . Don't forget chocolate bread pudding for dessert .

Everything is delicious. The veal sweetbreads are amazingly tender and the sauce is out of this world. Ask questions; the staff is knowledgable and friendly !

This place can be off-putting to new visitors but it really is one of the best late night places in C-Ville. And I haven't even mentioned the quality of the food...

Meals were awesome and the place cozy and cool...but.. but... get that Butterscotch , Salted-Caramel thing for dessert . BAM! Instant yum! Best. Dessert . Ever.

The bistro bar is cozy w/ rustic decor , has a great bar staff , and well-crafted cocktails . Great music generally.

The chocolate bread pudding is so good it will want to make you punch your grandmother. I recommend splitting it as the portion is rather large.

The chocolate bread pudding is decadent and delicious! Try pairing it with an irish coffee ...you won't be disappointed.

Go down to the lower bar , a time-worn slab to pull up to. Have a bowl of rustic soup , excellent bread and a pint on draught .

Lower level has great drinks and a late night food menu.

Got squeezed into a tight, dark corner which made us not really want to linger but food was great and drinks solid.

The greyhounds are the best in town , but better with a splash of aperol .

Best steak I've ever had in my life.

You won't believe it but this is the best late-night bar in town . Ask Neil Young.

Okay place. Old and quaint. Duck breast over done and no crispness on the skin. Roasted beets left a lot to be desired. For the price, I expect much more
