Everyone knows it's all about Papalote's salsa : in particular, the creamy roasted habanero sauce that's smoky but mild. You're going to want to generously use that or other options on your burrito . Read more
Great place for food with original concepts and flavors. Huge portions so you definitely get you're money's worth. Try the Adobo or the triple threat burrito . Those are their two signature dishes.
You gotta try the massive Triple threat burrito . Or even the very popular adobo burrito . But Whatever you decide make sure to get it with their amazing salsa . It's the Best in the Bay Area.
We love the fact that Papalote cooks most of the meats in its burritos to order, but the results can be pretty generic, until you drip on Papalote's magic potion: that roasted-tomato salsa . Read more
Get the Machaca con Huevo breakfast burrito ... for dinner . The super burritos are nice too. Also enjoy the creamy salsa in-restaurant, even better than the stuff they sell in jars.
Lots of vegetarian & paleo-friendly options. They're also very flexible in substitutions. Definitely try the naked burrito , amazing.
It's true, the roasted tomato salsa is delectable! Carne asada naked burrito came with more beans than meat. Great opportunity to try jicama if you've never heard of it before.
The chicken con mole burrito is very satisfying. And yeah, the salsa that comes with it lives up to the hype
The Prechuga Al Achiote (chicken marinated in Achiote and spices) entree is super yummy!
I would consider coming back to this again and again only for the salsa . Seriously, some of the best salsa I've ever had. It was a bit loud inside, but I was focused on the salsa
The salsa lives up to the hype. Mix it with the guacamole to start. Go off menu and get the super chicken adobo burrito .
The salsa .... seriously the salsa is THE BEST. The burritos are good too and the steak nachos and bomb too
Turn any burrito into a nakd burrito bowl . Very generous with the added guacamole .
The composition, structure (or lack of it), and taste of the burrito was absolutely spot on. You can probably tell I am a Burrito Nerd. But seriously this place is legit. The salsa , even more so.
The naked burrito bowls are fire. And come with chips and their famously delicious salsa .
Order dorado style and they’ll crisp it up on the plancha
Ask for no rice and get the queso . Thank me later.
Noticeably high quality jack cheese , a rare and delicious surprise. Also refried black beans are delicious and hard to find other places
I'm always torn between the Vegan Mole with Tofu Burrito or the Vegan Soyrizo Burrito . Both are amazing! Don't skimp on the guacamole .
Get the Super Chicken Adobo Salad with cilantro vinaigrette . It's one of the most filling, ingredient-packed salads you'll ever have.
More vegan variety than any other taqueria , go for the tofu mole burrito (sin queso and creme) and always add guac
Papalote blew minds after whupping Bobby Flay on Food Network’s Throwdown, and for good reason. Their soyrizo burrito makes mouths water, and the taqueria is famed for its unbeatable salsa .
Get a burrito . Their special salsa is worth ordering an extra side of for your chips and well ... everything else. Put it on everything.
The quesadillas are great, but you will envy your friends that get massive burritos . Make sure you get save some chips to dip in your guacamole .
Their fish burrito is insane! It’s marinated in a wine butter sauce . Also their salsa is so creamy and delicious.
Small joint but big flavors! The house salsa is great, the Chorizo Con Queso is Great and the Chicken Mole Super Burrito is great! Worthy of repeat visits!
Salsa is delicious and has the right amount of kick. Burritos are large and always on point. Love this joint
Given the nearby options which are better, choosing Papalote is like eating Chicago deep dish pizza while in Paris.
Convenient location if walking to or from the BART. Otherwise, a surprisingly unremarkable burrito . Ask for extra papalote sauce, you will need it 😕
Maybe the best food I've had in SF. Definitely some of the best chips and salsa and burritos I've had
My order will forever be: super soyrizo burrito/spinach tortilla/black beans. Make sure to save some salsa to pour on it.
Burrito bowls are still great but portions seem smaller now and price has gone up!
They famously won the Bobby Flay burrito-off on the Food Network and with a wonderfully griddled tortilla and attention-grabbing size, it's easy to see why. Read more
Awesome salsa , kind of creamy like no other I had. I had the fish burrito , very good with big chunks of white fish . yum!
Saw the awards along with the bobby flay piece on this place hyping it up. After trying the super adobo burrito and the soyrizo tacos i felt let down. Salsa/service gets +1. (2 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
If you bring back the mason jar they sell their delicious salsa in you'll get a buck off a refill.
The best chips and salsa in the city ! The burrito ain't so bad either. Fresh and tasty.
I love the salsa , and the Mexipino burrito is my new favorite! Mexican-Filipino fusion.
for all you hyper locals, they sell their crack laden salsa in mason jars and if you wash it and bring it back, they refill it at a discount . so delicious.
Besides the salsa , most of what I've tried here is fairly bland. The salsa is definitely meant to be put on everything.
Chile verde burrito is awesome, ask to make it super. Their guacamole is also delicious.
Dining room is a bit tiny, if you go during meal hours you might need to share a table. Otherwise, amazing food fairly priced .
Very nice place... We had to wait for a while to get a place.. But the food was worth waiting.
It's true what they say, their salsa is amazing.
The fajitas is big enough to share. And super delicious (especially if you make it super)
The habanero salsa is unreal. Pick some up and serve at home... people will flip. They also sell it at Whole Foods on 24th.
Want to try the best salsa in the city ? Head over to Papalote on 24th and feel the burn. (We suggest taking it to-go and having a picnic in Dolores Park .)
Love the soyrizo! Great vegetarian options ... Tasty and well priced. 😍
The salsa is out of this world and just improves absolutely everything. They sell it online.
Love their fajita burrito w/chicken and the salsa bar! - Domenic Viterbo
Vegetarian taquitos and enchiladas. Delicious, homemade churros. - Mallika Mathur
The best latte I ever had....no syrup needed. It was orgasmic - Patty Melara
One of the most beautiful dog friendly park to have drinks! - Lana Ventura
