The world's most famous art museum as absolutely worth visiting when in Paris. If there is a long cue at the glass pyramid try entering from the adjacent shopping center.
You could spend many days here. OR just 90 minutes. Follow my plan and you'll see the highlights and walk past a lot of great stuff. Don't be that guy who looks defeated in the museum - trust me.
Iconic place to spend whole day enjoying excellent paintings and beautiful statues . Total near 400.000 items. Meet the legacy of humanity.
The Louvre Museum is a national art museum in Paris. Great paintings and a lot of statues you will find it here. It’s really a huge place with amazing special area to see Mona Lisa !
We spent the entire day there and we have visited two sections only, it worth the visit, I would consider it as a time machine that will take you back in centuries.Better to accompany interested ppl.
The Louvre is the world's most visited museum . Discover the other highlights of Paris with Lufthansa: our travel report for the "City of Love" will take you to the best places to visit in Paris. Read more
I've been there twice and I would still like to visit it once more. A place where you can find all different sorts of artistic creation in human history.
Is the line insane? Cross the Tuileries, go to Musée de l'Orangerie, buy a Paris Museum Pass (and visit their awesome collection) and then come back to the Louvre and skip the line . Genius!
Go during offseason (Feb-March), on a weekday, and arrive right when they open. You'll have many rooms to yourself for a good hour before the crowds start to roll in.
Very nice museum , book with a guide better/ skip the line , very long waiting time for tickets, you need at least 3-4 hours for fast tour ! if you want to read stuff then its full day!
The museum is AMAZING! Such beautiful artwork. It was very packed and the Mona Lisa (which is very small) was swarmed. American in Paris ❤️
Free entrance if you're an icomos member.really worth a visit although it's so big that u won't be able to see all,so choose what u r willing to see at the beginning
It’s a best museum I have visited ever. All of the culture and history of the world are available here . I really enjoy my time and it deserves to spend your time here .
Incredible museum with amazing history & architecture . Download the app & bring headphones. Masterpieces tour via the app/audio tour is fantastic. Beat the crowds: buy tickets online & arrive early!
The ticket-selling guys kinda make a decision for you!! Make sure to stand your grounds talkin to them, make sure to see mona lisa and make your list of things to see before you go to Louvre!
I arrived right at 9am and waited an hour and a half between security, tickets and audio guide! Visit galleries with non-western art , such as the amazing Islamic art wing
Louvre beautiful louvers, here is amazing and u need at least 3 days to visit all parts. If u are tourist u need to bring ur passport or ID card for audio guide. The audio guide is a bit complicated
In the museum there are a lot of different sculptures , painting and artifacts that are really beautiful. In my opinion, everyone should visit it :)
It takes almost a compete day to visit the whole museum ,don't miss Monaliza, venous sculpture , Iran & Egypt halls & Mummy
The 'must visit' in Paris. Spend a day, go early, start with masterpieces by floor, buy ticket in advance, get the audio guide, get an exhibition map, don't miss the Café Mollien... explore and enjoy
A ton of people here. Easily get lost!!! Mona Lisa hall packed all time. Check out Islamic sections! Buy entrance ticket at Le Carrousel du Lourve. Minimum 3-4 hours visit, Enjoy!
Huge! We didn't opt for the headphones nor guide. You can end up spending all day if not more at the museum , or you can just skim through it & just enjoy the experience. I choose the latter.
If you spent 60 seconds looking at each of the objects at the Louvre, going steadily for eight hours a day, it would take you 75 days to see them all. It’s huge and well worth doing with a tour guide.
If you are limited to a short visit, make a list of the top things that you want to see, otherwise you'll get lost in all of the other great items in the collection.
On busy days, enter via the Porte des Lions. You'll have direct access to the main drag Halls of Spanish and Italian Painting .... this can be a good or a bad thing, if you are trying to avoid crowds.
Take the hidden entrance off the subway exit in the basement next to the Apple Store. Get there before 830 in the AM and rush to the Mona Lisa . It'll be crowded with tourist groups later in the day.
Top 5 must sees, Mona Lisa , Winged victory of Somathrace, Hammurabi Code, Venus de Milo, Michelangelo's Slaves. Further 5, Sphinx, Winged bull , Seated scribe, borghese gladiator, madonna
Louvre is probably the most well known museum in the world, and it deserves that recognition. Exhibitions are great, there's tons of things to see (impossible to check it in 1 day).
It's humongous, so grab a map at the info booth at the entrance . So much to take in, you probably won't see everything, even in an entire day there. Great place to spend a few hours.
An amazing world to explore - be sure to budget LOTS of time (depending on how detailed you want to be)! You can easily spend a full day just covering the larger exhibits (which is what I did).
Wow just wow. Have always wanted to see some of the artwork here. A MUST if you're in Paris. Wear some good walking shoes and bring some water.
Mona Lisa . What else to say! Book your tickets in advance and collect your ticket from the main tourist centre at Pyramides . Sure shot way of avoiding the queue at the ticket counter.
One of the best museum in the world 🗺️ one of the remarkable places in Paris 🇫🇷
The Louvre, originally King Philip’s royal palace but now the world's most famous museum is a must-visit for anyone with a slight interest in art . Want to admire the Mona Lisa ? Visit this museum ! Read more
You need at least 2 full days to see everything here. Get the audio guide! Buy the tickets online and collect it at rue d pyramids tourism center to avoid the loooooong line . Magnificent place
I finally had the chance to see Mona-Lisa. But it's a little bit hot and stuffy inside.I suggest you to carry your ID's with you because if you're 18 or younger you can enter the museum for free.
Do the thematic visits. It makes the whole experience much more enjoyable and you get less museum fatigue. Download it from the lobby on free wifi , expand all the descriptions, and you're on your way!
Please take your time to visit it. Is the best museum ever. The history of it and the collection it have are amazing. Da Vinci is amazing (I only saw 3 pieces of he).
Wow...finally here I'm, standing & putting my footsteps on the incredible & one of the famous museums on Earth, Musee du Louvre. Tip : Looks for the two bronze lions for fast entry, Porte des Lions.
Beautiful museum . Lots of tourist taking photos but well , it's a must do in Paris. Don't skip this area. It really is beautiful!
Best place in Paris to be overwhelmed by humanity and art , though also the best place to get in a fight with a map that claims it wants to help you but is possibly conspiring against you.
A lesser-known gem to see inside the Louvre: the Napoleon III apartments . Stunning.
35000 peaces of history . It would take a week to complete it .
The one place you should go to if you're in Paris. The line gets quite long and it's not comfortable while it's raining. If you want to see every art piece it will take you several hours.
Buy your tickets online, print them or get them in the news stand at the back entrance and enter thru the Carousel. There you saved an hour!
The best museum in the world! Has so much history about the world! Many people from the all the planet! I like very much!
You can find pieces of takhte-jamshid and historical Persian monuments in the middle east section of the museum . A shame we don't have these in Iran.
Make a beeline to the Mona-Lisa! Once you've fought through the crowd for a glimpse of her and fought your way back out, you can now stroll calmly through the rest of this amazing museum .
One of the most impressive museums of Paris, France and the whole word, with some exquisite masterpieces. Avoid it on week ends thought and try to buy tickets online earlier so you can avoid the queue
I advice to take the "skip the line " tickets for quick access, What I like more is the organization .. It's clear and easy to access the paintings that you want, the staff don't know much about art :/
If you look close you can see the Arc de Triomphe. - Scott Thorn
feels like in madame Tussaud. a nice place to spend your sundays with children in Paris.. - Christophe Fourleignie
Nice Sophie Calle exhibition. The museum itself is not huge, not sure it merits a visit on its own. - J
Fantastic museum with a variety of interesting exhibits. Start at the top floor and work your way down. The best bit is the stack of unusual vehicles in the old monastery. Some English translation. - Frankie Roberto
Really beautiful garden! There is a lot of seating by the fountain in the middle - nice place to relax and enjoy the garden. - Susan S.
Beautiful but make sure you get there early to avoid the line. I would recommend waiting however as the line usually moves quickly - Luke Baker
