Absolutely fabulous! I didn't expect to be so impressed with this museum , but I was blown away. It's extremely well organized and there's a lot of info to take in. Allow 6h for visiting this museum .
Amazing collection of instruments and a cool place to visit. Make sure to allow for a few hours to visit since there is so much to see.
If your in Phoenix Az this is a must stop. Musical instruments from every country . Well will go back we never made it through the whole exhibit .
allow yourself at least 3 or 4 hours and you still won’t complete it all. The special exhibit on the history of the electric guitar was great. If you like music of any kind I highly recommend

Wow. What a pleasant surprise for a museum . We spent about three hours here and easily could have spent the whole day if we had the time. The Artist Gallery was a favorite.
Listen to music from over 200 different countries . You'll walk through each exhibit with headphones so this exhibit is good to visit if traveling alone. Each month they have a special exhibit as well .
The interactive aspect with the head phones really immersed you to the instruments . The sound of the instruments and the history .
You cannot come to this place too many times. Even as a totally blind person, the experience is phenomenal as long as you come with a sighted person, or get a docent to tour with you.
This is a very nice, seemingly very well-funded museum . It’s beautiful. The gift shop is dangerously good. The exhibits are a delight.
Very well done museum w/ vast collection. If you're not looking for anything in particular, start on the 2nd floor w/Africa and work around
MIM is an essential Phoenix stop! Get here early, take your time. Take a break for lunch in their terrific café . And have fun banging gongs, taiko, and gamelan in the Experience Music room!
If you like to learn in an exciting way, then this is a great venue. It has history, events and hands on activities. The event that showcased iconic women was interesting.

Expect to stay longer than you planned. Everything is fascinating and well presented.
Take your time and enjoy the exhibits , then make your way to the Experience Gallery where you can actually try some instruments out. If possible see a performance in their auditorium .
This is interesting even to kids and non-music people. It's just really well done and you can pace it however you like.
Very awesome please to visit.Your actually allowed to touch the instruments and learn new songs from them, and they have concerts tickets are only $25!

Go on a Thursday. The museum was practically empty and we spent as long as we wanted in the Experience Gallery playing the instruments .

Come with enough time. It takes longer than it seems but it's totally worth it.
Plan to spend at least four hours. Break the day up with a lunch in the cafeteria - the food is excellent.
