Delightful place, stunning decor with a soundtrack from the 20's. The food was absolutely lovely, specially the cod and the chocolate panna cotta (pictured).

Creative menu, changes regularly, cute & trendy setting, friendly service . Outstanding dishes were gnocchi & pumpkin , duck , cheesecake . Cereal ice cream was yummy... like a bowl of cornflakes .

The brasserie of Bethnal Green Town Hall is the more relaxed alternative to Typing Room downstairs. The 2/3 course deals are very reasonable and perfect for a long lunch .

A wonderful experience. No problem to taste wines before deciding. Sublime food and seamless service. And you get to wander the old council rooms and corridors on the way to the loo!

Great lunchtime deal - 2 courses £19 and 3 courses £24. Lovely hazelnut and apple frozen pannacotta and the white peach entree (vegetarian ) was tasty and refreshing. Can make bookings , even on the day

3 course lunch for £24 is one of the best value meals in London, for this level of quality and innovation.

Superb food, anything on the menu is an absolute treat. The lamb belly with courgette and goats cheese was an amazing start and the confit salmon with horseradish and beetroot was stunning too.

Amazing space and great food, but it's let down by its dreary atmosphere and lackluster staff . There are nicer places in the area if you want a treat.
