Großer Wannsee
Der Große Wannsee ist hydrologisch betrachtet eine Bucht der Havel. Er gehört zu der sog. Kladower Seestrecke, die sich 12 km lang von der Spandauer Ortslage Pichelsdorf bis zum Meedehorn bei Potsdam-Sacrow erstreckt.

One of the largest of the beautiful lakes around Berlin. If the weather is fine take one of the May boat trips from Wannsee and see some of the others

A pretty big lake towards the south west of Berlin. Going across on a ferry is also possible. There is also an artificial beach which is quite popular (costs a small fee though)
Cleanest big lake in Berlin. You can swim at any public space or pay at the beach resort ( not so fancy ) or do all kinds of water activities
The ferry is part of public transport network. You can use your day, week, weekend or month ticket to cross as many times as you like.
Be on time on a sunny day. I had to wait for 40 mins to get in.
Going back and forth is the equivalent of two single tickets

Take the ferry to Kladow and back. It's just the fare of a normal bus trip.

Visit on a hot day with the rest of Berlin and you might find it hard to find a spot on the beach. The facilities are good and the water is great. - Jon Bills
