Malibu Creek State Park

Great place to relax and have a picnic with a bottle of wine and cheese ! Nice for hiking , bike riding.It's so beautiful and I loved going there.

Absolutely blown away. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The landscape was so unique and open in some parts. Once could easily spend all day here. So peaceful

Apparently you can park on the street but we decided to pay the $12 and park in the designated parking area. You can use your parking pass to go to any of the state parks in malibu/santa Monica too.

I love taking friends and out-of-towners on hikes here, even though I heard that the MASH set recently was destroyed in a fire. I've converted numerous LA-haters from this one day trip alone.

Beloved by M*A*S*H fans as the location of the 4077 army hospital , this scenic Santa Monica Mountains wonderland has also appeared as a Southern ranch in Elvis Presley's first film , Love Me Tender.

Great big park with many trails . The most popular is the hike MASH set. Worth it when hiking with your parents to satisfy their nostalgia.

You can park on Mulholland Hwy and hike in the side if you don't mind a little extra walking. It'll save you the $10-12 for parking .

Great place for a hike but they don't allow dogs. If they see you with a dog...they will escort you out of the park or face a fine.

During the summer there two neat places to swim . The first are the Rock Pools which is about a mile in and second is Century Lake which is double the distance but so worth it!

The local sport climbing spot in LA. If you're taking guests expect one of them to fall into the falls during the traverse.

Get there early and make sure to pay for parking or else you will get a ticket! Getting there early is nice especially on a hot day. And do not go into the water...it is all run off! Dirty ...

Beautiful place for a hike . The pay parking lot is a sham, save your shekels and park on the street. Buy some fruit from the mexican on the corner. And pick up your trash!!

Awesome water hole to jump in from the surrounding ledges. Watch out for rocks!!!

Explore - you can even hike to the M*A*S*H filming site or the lake from Planet of the Apes.

Because of all of the foxtails, I would not recommend bringing the family dog camping here. That could result in some pretty intense visits to the vet.
