They close at 5, so beware if you're taking a late afternoon stroll. Beautiful gardens and sculpture , including a cool and historically significant log cabin .
Beautiful all times of year and a great place to study or read. There are so many little spots I like to sit, in the shade or in the sun!

Between NC State 's arboretum and Duke Gardens , this place has slipped to third. It's fine but feels like an after thought now compared to those other places mentioned.
Not as impressive as Duke Gardens , but still. Nice place to spend an afternoon.
Check out Sculpture in the Garden every October
Be sure to see the carnivorous plants -- fantastic!
