If atmosphere didn't count I would say Caffè Driade and Open Eye are equal...but you have to consider atmosphere and Driade's is second to none! #latteart #espresso

Gorgeous find tucked away off the highway in Chapel Hill. Coffee is good (for this area). They don't weigh the Espresso or time the water flowing through it, but somehow my redeye passed muster.

Super cool coffee shop . They have an amazing location with great outdoor seating . Serve some fantastic cappuccinos and cortados . Try their Nutella bread for a decadent treat.

Awesome place to hang! I grew up in Chapel Hill and somehow despite driving past this place thousands of times I never knew it existed until now. Apparently it's been around 18 years.

Good coffee and a serene location. I do wish there were more food and snack options to go with their coffee and I wish some of those selections were savory.

If you're looking for good herbal tea , try the Hibiscus Zest, Lemon Mint , or Get Smart. And the press pots are so much fun.

Their mocha and dirty chai latte are delicious. The outdoor seating is gorgeous.

Delicious, quality coffee . All pastries come from Guglehupf Bakery and they are exquisite. Try a berry tart for a delicious treat. Beware tho: some baristas can have a bit of an attitude...

Go here on a nice day or night! The outdoor seating is pure bliss. Sip on some coffee or a nice glass of wine . They also have cigars !

Check in at Driade Buffalo while your here. Get a table facing the garden with a view of the buffalo.

The setting is king. Go outside and down the stairs for a woodsy retreat. Drip and cappuccinos are fairly good.

Off-the-beaten-path atmosphere, but you'll have to pay for internet (at least they have it). Espresso is better than Starbucks and Carribou; beer , wine and cigars for the alternative buzz.

This is my all time favorite place in chapel hill. Incredible coffee and atmosphere.
