This is an excellent public beach that is far less crowded then the more popular Lighthouse Beach . You need to pay for parking .
"Algiers" is just another name for "Gulfside City Park ", so called because it is at the end of Algiers Lane. This beach is pretty wide and flat. It's also pretty calm . I usually find smaller shells
Bowman’s Beach is great for shelling big and small. 5 mile marker on San-Cap Road .
Face ocean turn left toward Sundial, some of the best shells on Sanibel. Watch out for the local fuzz rattling the saber.
