One of the only, and the best, Cubano Chino restaurants in NYC. Start with the Sangria and then dive into some Peruvian Chicken with Roast Pork Fried Rice . Beware of the crowds!
my #1 spot in NY!! gr8 pricing, Food is totally AWESOME..Nutcrackers on Point! My fav is the Red Sauce shrimp it's just spectacular !!!! The Lomo chicken & beef my friends just had was also AMAZING!
Favorite Peruvian roast chicken place. It's way better than Pio Pio! The squid ink fried rice and green pastas are ridiculously awesome too.
Green rice pot w/ chicken + sweet plantains + beans is — and I mean this with zero exaggeration — my favorite lunch meal in the world right now. Get a pitcher of the red sangria
The place where you can enjoy the pio pio style south american roasted chicken and some Lomein or other delish Chinese dishes at the same time. Also have great lunch specials .
Must get the lunch special !!! Best deal I’ve ever had in nyc and the most food! Pork chop and pepper steak with plantains are to die for. So glad I found this place!
I usually start with a nutcracker, get a lobster tail in deviled sauce with white or yellow rice and tostones and finish off with ANOTHER NUTCRACKER..perfect date spot
Awesome place. Great value for money ! Take the Sangria , lomo saltado and the 1/2 chicken with rice . Just great.
Reasonably priced Peruvian and Chinese food . We took the kids and tried the Peruvian. They are picky eaters but liked their aguadito and arroz verde com pollo .
You will not be disappointed with this choice. A unique menu that us full of surprises. Listen closely to the specials & grab some drinks.
Half chicken with house special fried rice will never go wrong. Try the salt and pepper squid . Mmmm.
Red Sauce Shrimp with Avocado Salad and a Nutcracker are to die for !!!!
If you understand English, Spanish and Chinese, the menu can get a little overwhelming - just stick with one language.
Lomo Saltado with garlic rice omg. The chicken was moist too.
One of my go to delivery restaurants on the UWS. Love pork fried rice , ribs , & 1/2 chicken .
The Green Pepper Steak lunch special is everything I dreamed it would be and more.
Flor De Mayo isn't a fusion restaurant — rather, both cuisines coexist harmoniously on a menu that may seem like a cut and paste job at first glance.
This place is usually the first stop I make when I visit NYC. The Super nutcrackers are the best, and the food is awesome. You can pick a random item from the menu, and I guarantee it'll be good!
The Tallarin Verde with Camarones al Ajillo , pasta coated in Peruvian pesto and topped with meaty shrimp doused liberally with garlic , is guaranteed to become your new food craving. Full review link: Read more
The "Lomo Saltado " is their signature dish... But on fri & sat, they serve the legendary "chupe de camarón " which is a signature semi spicy soup to DIE for... Their "nutcrackers" are legendary as well
The waiters are so caring and awesome. Ask for recommendations!! Also, the Nutcracker is a stellar drink, worth the NYC price
Go at lunchtime when it isn't packed! Peruvian chicken with sweet plantains is incredible; ditto lomo saltado .
Chinese and Peruvian combination menu at its finest! Takeout and delivery are always on time or early
The Lomo Saltado and Pollo a la Brasa fulfills the rare trinity of food in Manhattan: cheap , good, and filling.
Mix it up with a whole Pollo a la Brasa (Peruvian Chicken ) and Squid Fried Rice . Best of both worlds.
Best Peruvian and/or Chinese in NYC. No contest, period, end of story. The fish ceviche has no comparison.
Chicken and pork fried rice is fantastic
The Lomo Saltado was delish! Make sure you come hungry when you go to this place. You will get full fast.
Awesome food. Tried the spaghetti and a fish appetizer (cant remember name sorry) Was just too good
Get a pitcher of sangria and the pollo a la brasa or lomo saltado . Yup, it's gonna be a good night.
Ceviche mixto , chicken with plantains , lomo saltado is the way to go
order: the steak or chicken lomo w/egg fried rice + your choice in the rice . and dont 4get a nut cracker or a super nutcracker if your up to it.
Cheap spot for dinner . The chicken lives up to the hype. Get it!
Drink the nutcracker. Chino cooking. Eat like a pig for cheap . Arroz con Pollo , Boliche Mechado, Ropa Vieja , Escabeche. Wash it down with an Inca Cola. Delicioso!!!!
Ceviche !! So delish. Definitely a must-have at this place.
Food is good. Order half roasted chicken with rice ???? the only problem is everything is too salty, if you sensitive like that, - order white rice instead
Food was great. Atmosphere was ok. Kind of place you go every now and then and enjoy it
The Peruvian menu is amazing. Highly recommend the Arroz Verde con Pollo .
All the food is slamming, and then finish it off with a nutcracker!!!
You must try the Peruvian chicken and squid ink fried rice . Amazing.
THE FRIED YUCA IS MUY BUENO
New hours has the restaurant closing at 10:45!
First time here!! Amazed by the food!! I had chupe de camarón & roasted half chicken .... I'm happy
Fried Crisp Chicken (Boneless ) on the Spanish menu is amazingly prepared...lots of flava!
People come to eat, not so much dine, at Flor de Mayo. When your order comes to the table, you’ll find yourself gulping it all down, too. Read more
Get the squid ink fried rice ! So gooooddddd!
All u need is one super nut cracker an u leave feeling good.
Split a side of tostones or platanos maduro with your mate.
Half chicken w/ fried rice is a tasty, good value that's served quickly. A triple threat
