Great options beyond the Americanized Indian fare. Try the coondapur kori for a tasty and mild option to compliment their spicy food (like the patiala lamb kabab ).
Great quality Indian food if you're hunting for a spot on Curry Row . A bit too expansive of a menu but good for family style ordering. Also, "malai marke" means "extra malai (buttery cream sauce )".
From the owners of Dhaba (best indian in NYC), this is the best restaurant on Curry row . Lots of coastal curries you won't normally find. The more spicy and coconut-y, the better.
Delicious and quick delivery . Love a place that isn't afraid to go super spicy . Forsure going back.
The food quality is exceptional, and the lunch special is a great deal! If you like spicy food , ask for their special achar sauce on the side.
Much better (and a little pricier ) than your average Indian place. Consistently delicious w good ingredients and extra veg/vegan friendly . A favorite is dal saag – unreal how tasty it is.
Chicken Tikka Masala was excellent, but "Chicken Xacuti" was a great choice as well . Naan is a must, Mango Lassi was very thick and tasty. Definitely a great Indian restaurant .
Spicy food lovers will indulge with the Madurai melagu curry with lamb . A true test to how much spiciness you can take. They have weihenstephaner Weiss bier on tap ! Servos!
Everything’s great, nice and spicy too. Only thing is: the “roti ” is just really dry naan bread , nothing like authentic roti . I’d pass on the roti
A little pricier but the best I've had in East Village . All of them are great but the Saag Paneer stands out the most.
Good writeup on Chowhound. Recommended dishes include: Patiala Lamb Kabab spiced - pan grilled lamb patties, Chicken Achari, Seekh Kabab , Chicken Tikka Masala Read more
nice, creative indian restaurant . also, they have a great, expansive vegetarian and vegan menu .
Great flavors and plenty of options. If you like heat, let them know, they will definitely bring it.
Not your average Curry Row restaurant . The huge menu has dishes from all over India, and most of them succeed.
Tons of food for $10. The Tikka Masala had a more sophisticated taste than I've had anywhere else. Good water. I give it 5 naans !
Coconut chicken curry . Ask for them to make it spicy . Great lunch special deal !
Chicken in the Tikki Marsala is actually quite good, not just crap chunks masked with sauce! Also very nice bathrooms .
Join the spicy club! I've tried the Phaal and Lal Maas and loved them (Lal Maas is more spicy ). Maduria Melgu comes next.
I love the food, but don't expect the best service on the weekends. Try the chicken tikka masala . Best I've had in awhile!
#dubiDO #FabuLIST malai kebab and lamb chops are delicious and full of flavor!! Great naan as well .
The Food there was amazing. I had a fish dish along with some Naan . Everyone was complementing the Chef when I was there.
Vegetarian Indian giving this place a seal of approval. The chili paneer is legit spicy . Biryani is a little dry. And the kurkuri bhindi is like catnip.
Everyone is talking about the chicken tikka but don't miss the chili paneer , ragara patties and the rogan josh!
Tandoor kebabs Chicken tikka and rice choices. Delightful! enjoy!
Service was a little slow but the food is on point. Can't go wrong with the okra and lamb kebabs .
Lunch special for $11.95 comes with cabbage , rice , lentils and roti . coondapur kori is a hit!
Solid Indian offerings. A cut above the curry row competition. Still curry row tho
Great Indian food quality. Consistently delightful with excellent ingredients. Great varieties.
The lunch special is very filling and affordable . Loved the chicken tikka masala ????
So amazing! Get any of the shrimp curries , also the okra dry fry. Stick to coastal specialities just because they are more unique.
Favorite for Indian. You can't go wrong but I order the coondapur kori every time anyway
My new go to spot - make sure to ask for fresh green chillies .
It's pricey but plenty of food and the naan almost makes it worth it by itself.
Brown guy review here. Best Indian food I've had. Expensive as hell. And the service blows. But the food is too good, you'll ignore all the bad. Get the Murgh Makhni, Lamb Jalfrezi, Peas Palav.
Great lunch special for 12.95$
Best Indian in the east village . Great service and legitimate spice.
Mutter paneer was great and large enough to share with my partner
A bit pricey but delicious! The restaurant has beautiful decor.
I have not had a bad dish here yet. Everything is good
It's no generic Indian food . Get the Malai marke paneer and onion naan
Try the Murgh Korma . It's quite delicious with tandoor roti .
Fantastic lamb and malai kofta dishes, smoked cauliflower .
Solid Indian dishes , lunch menu is SO filling!
Lunch special . Chicken Tikka . Add garlic naan . $9.
Essentially no atmosphere (we were the only ones in there) but the food was good! I think it’s more of a takeout place.
Chicken Chettinad is super good for those who like spicy food :)
Lots of great seafood and coconut curry from Kerala
High quality Indian. They charge you for the rice because it's also high quality.
Very good indian food but not the best in the city .
Excelent indian cuisine , highly recommended!
Very good food, nice variety of tastes especially in apps few things I didn't know about Indian before, for drinks it is a BYOB place and wine store around the corner has -10% for Bhatti customers :) - Filip Wolski
Excellent Indian food and a ton of vegetarian options. Make reservations. - Kathryn D
They have some of the best vegan flavors in the city! Try the Ovenly chocolate chip cookie. - stephanie mckissick
Loved the dark beer, loved the light beer-- can't go wrong with your beer choice here - Tom M.
They have unusual flavors and most of them are great. I love the Hazelnut. - Andres Alonso
