The 7pm tour has a great sunset ! Live jazz and a Mississippi River Breeze to make it more awesome! Avoid the dinner , go to the upper deck and make a reservation at 9:15pm in a cool restaurant around!
I just love it! A dream of my childhood came true when me and my wife made this trip. Awesome!!!
Fun experience. If I were to do this again I wouldn't sign up for the 11AM seating; I'd do a later one. The food was pretty good overall though; I loved the okra . They sell other food on the boat FYI.
Nice way to take a break from the city and enjoy the river breeze ! However, it's nicer if you have a group, alone it can be boring (the music is for the folks eating and the views are not that great)
The evening dinner cruise scheduled for 7-9pm starts boarding at 6pm. If you've booked for the early sitting make sure you arrive for boarding at 6pm because they start serving once you've boarded.
Loved it - really great way to see the Mighty Mississippi . We did not do lunch or dinner , so can’t comment on food, but the tour and boat were great. A good value !
A good option to go through the almighty river while seeing the city and enjoying music jazz . There's a gift shop and a bar besides a restaurant .
The tour narration is great. Skip the food. It's served cold and the options are very limited! This is supposed to be a jazz cruise the music is sporadic you'll be lucky to hear 3 songs ????
Strong cheap drinks , nice ride on missippi, a bit over priced but one of last two fully functioning steamboats in USA. Go downstairs to see Thelma and Louise the two engines !
The food is great (red beans and rice as brewed pudding are so good)and the staff are kind. The captain loaned me his jacket since I was soak and wet from the NOLA rain.
Food and drinks are good and strong, the views from the boat are great with lots of unique trivia . The food presentation could be better but it taste good.
The hostess , Gina, was incredible. Actually hugged her at the end. So friendly , personable and devoted to giving us a good time. She recommended the punch, which was also very libatious ;-)
Fun cruise along the Mighty Mississippi . Great views and bar service . Perfect for all ages.
Cruise the Mississippi on the paddle-wheeler, which departs from Toulouse Street Wharf. You’ll be treated to live jazz on-deck, and you can opt for lunch or dinner on board if you like. -Travel Editor
Do the 11am cruise - NOLA is still sleeping that time and the cruise is not top busy. Sit on the left as the sights are on the left.
The Jazz dinner cruise is worth the cost. Organized buffet style dinner . Fast and friendly service .
Great boat tour of the river . Definitely worth it.
it's a steamboat so you have to :) the bloodys were really good
I liked it. Bring Dramamine if you're prone to seasickness. And try to get on early to find seating
A great way to see some of the Mississippi. The jazz band on board was fun and the bar tender was excellent!
Great Jazz music by the Dukes of Dixieland while cruising along the Mississippi River !
Nice and relaxing, very informative. Drinks and lunch are just delicious.
Who let the dog out seen from the boat later you can make à picture with thuis statue ????
The food looks like its from a cafeteria but ask for more right away because it's incredible. This place goes above and beyond for customer service.
The food was great and touring the Mississippi was amazing.
we didn't leave the dock but it was a blast - a bar under the calliope - was rough though - couldn't hear a thing
A pleasant trip. Actually, I was on The City of New Orleans, but I assume they are much the same.
Save your money. Take a picture of the boat and call it a day. My high school cafeteria had better food. 30 minute commentary followed by 90 minutes of silence instead of the promised music .
The evening jazz cruise is worth the money. Didn't care much for the food.
The real steam bota. With a great jazz band
Really fun steamboat tour . Take it easy and listen to the jazz band as you cruise down the Mississippi! $24.50 a person w/out food.
Fun and scenic Mississippi River !
You can check Your picture a online
The jazz/dinner cruise was 3 hours...way too long. There isn't much to look at...but on the plus side, the buffet was really yummy!
The boat goes trough the Mississippi. It's a magical ride!!
There's no better view of The Big Easy than from the deck of Steamboat Natchez. Read more
delicious fried catfish in the buffet !
They try to force you into getting your picture taken under the guise of security, before boarding. So it takes FOREVER to board.
Boat ride was great Capt Rob was great food was so so
Had a blast!
City skyline at night on the way back to dock is gorgeous. Sit on left. Get engaged. Drink. Listen to music . Have fun.
Sit on the port (left) side.
The catfish and bread pudding is AMAZING!!!
Jazz , views
If you have the opportunity, definitely take the cruise and lunch .
Come at least 45 minutes early on the weekends if you don't want to stand in the sun.
If you're on the bottom deck when another boat approaches, be prepared to get wet!!!!

The ferry was awesome! Seeing the beautiful New Orleans skyline like this was definitely a highlight of my trip. $2 each way for a quick ride with beautiful views. - Tarren Blake
