The Zocalo is the largest square in Latin America and the third largest in the world afterMoscow’s Red Square and Beijing's Tiananmen Square. 

The Zócalo itself is impressive but the atmosphere is a circus and is not in anyway a depiction of Mexican life. Locals told me later that walking through it once is all you ever need to do. Move on.

Lovely to look at but a touch underwhelming to physically be in, especially with tourist traps everywhere.

Good place to take some pictures, is a shame it is always crowded , avoid it in christmas , since they put a giant ice skating area

No puedes decir que veniste a la Ciudad sin visitar nuestro Centro Histórico : los museos , la gente, la comida...el simple hecho de recorrer sus calles, es una experiencia única ????

Plaza central de la ciudad,llena de historia,y siemrpe de vida . Puedes visitar museos ubicados en su entorno ,saldrás lleno de historia,empapado de cultura y asombrado de México.

En la calle del lado de las joyerías , frente a la plancha del Zócalo , hay restaurantes que ofrecen comida corrida desde $60 por persona (hasta los $200, si quieren pedir algo más elaborado) con balcón
