Enjoy breakfast in this beautiful space! Order everything at the counter. Fried egg sandwich is huge, their figs with mascarpone toast is delicious with dill and orange zest !
Tartine may have a quality control issue. Just opening my sandwich , it was quite obvious that a gigantic mosquito hawk was an unfortunate garnish upon my porchetta .
A SF must go for breakfast . Coddled eggs and a pastry are a MUST. Favorites also include smoked salmon tarts , and their egg sandwiches . Favorite pastries are the almond croissant and bread pudding .
If you just want coffee or bread , there's a separate line inside that's shorter. But know that they don't start selling bread until 11am on Sundays.
I've never had a dish here that didn't make me go, "oh my god this is so good". You can't go wrong, definitely order multiple dishes and split with your friends if you can.
The space is awesome. Everything on the menu is solid. Go check out the Heath Newsstand and shop/showroom after you eat!
Chad Robertson's masterpiece. Will be a staple of the neighborhood for a long time. Only a fool wouldn't appreciate it.
Nothing about this place makes any sense, but the food is good. The star of the show is the bread . It is sold at the coffee bar (?) and you don't need to line up for it.
There's obviously a lot to like about TM but it's when they voluntarily offered to give me their lemonade kombucha recipe that I fell in love with the place. Thanks Chef and team!
Went for dinner , service was excellent! Menu was a bit confusing (too minimalistic in describing the dishes) and it felt expensive for how small the plates were. Everything was delicious though!
What a delicious delicious place. The pumpkin pie was perfect, not too sweet, coffee was delicious, the place looks lovely. Highly recommend
Such a beautiful space, and the salad is one of the most visually pleasing salads . Come before 11 if you want breakfast food !
The food and coffee
Really inefficient and confusing layout.
Although I personally am not a big sandwich fan, I have to admit I loved all the sandwiches & toasts we ordered that day. I just cannot stop
Za’atar toast with coddled egg with fish roe is one of the best breakfast dishes I have ever eaten. Can’t go wrong with any of the pastries or bread !
Loved everything about this place! The atmosphere, the building, the service and the food! I could eat their bread and pastries all day, but the herbed omelette with goat cheese was decadent!
The brunch makes Plow look pedestrian
The best bread is country bread n i think star of mission district. You should try to eat plain croissant (regular). And also they have bakery restaurant .
Beet hummus is amazing. But you have to order the bread separately. Soup was also great. Sitting at the bar is fun to see them making the elaborate cocktails .
Whatever the wait is, it's worth it. Don't skip the wild mushroom tartine , burrata , halibut crudo or citrus salad . Finish with the bread pudding !
Steak toast bad. trout toast , scone good. Bread pudding :favorite. Brioche jam , Pepperoni biscuit , Cranberry muffin ,Ham cheese danish good. Chocolate rye cake , Chocolte hazelnut cookie ok. Nice staff
This place is just brilliant. The food is great and the environment is beautiful. I STRONGLY recommend the cocktails . The Bruce Banner is lovely. Get seated at the bar for fun.
To quote Oprah: "I LOVE BREAD "
Dinner is okay-on the pricier side for the amount of food. Weird that spreads don't come with bread . Menu changes daily but if there's crispy sunchokes on the menu, get it!
a beautiful space to start your morning. an espresso . the avocado on brød.
Came here for dinner . The 'Nduja smørrebrød was tasty tasty stuff, a little bit of spicy and incredibly rich. Everything else I had was good too - you can't go wrong here.
The new ice cream shop is great. Try one of the pies , especially the pb and j. Tartine is known for their baked goods but the sandwiches and salads are excellent as well .
The porchetta sando is super rich, and delicious. Love the pastries and the ricotta toast is good as well .
I'm not a vegetarian , but I'd take the romesco and farm egg sandwich over the meat options. Porchetta is darn good, too. Bread is killer.
Bread is delicious. Note that The selection here does not change every day as at the original Tartine shop. They carry sesame , oat porridge , and country loaves.
Pain Suiss = pain au chocolat and pastry cream had a beautiful baby. Liege waffle is always a good idea. You can skip the line if you just want bread .
Country bread is amazing, get a loa, you can freeze it if you can't finish it soon. The pistachio lemon teacake redefined what a teacake is to me
The fluke crudo dish is possibly the most delicious healthy lunch on the planet
Beautiful interior ! Price was a bit high but quality...Superb. Worth the 15 min wait!
Trendy new place based on a French traditional dish ???????????? (PS: avocado toasts are disappointing)
A must in San Francisco, great place to have breakfast , a drink or just a piece of amazing sourdough ????
One of the best ice cream sundaes I've had in a while. The bread is a must-order if you're there for dinner .
The bread pudding *may just be* the best thing on the planet. Especially if you come in early and get it warm!
Get the lavender matcha ! You can even get it hot. The coddled eggs are incredible.
Confusing layout. And get there early before they run out of bread .
beautiful spot. great for meetings. no wifi though.
What a backery! Try their salmon and avocado bread , sooo delisious!
Porchetta sandwich melts in your mouth. It'll cost you, but the portion is more than generous.
Known for some of the best bread on the west coast, you can get some of that bread and a delicious lunch here!
The usual Tartine goodness but lunch (read over cooked porhcetta on a dry brioche bun ) was a letdown after a 30 minute wait to order. On the positive side, service is super friendly .
Don't forget to order a glass of sparkling wine to go with your pastries
Really nice and everything but decision not to sell morning buns seems cruel and unusual
Excellent espresso and delicious bread ! Head next door to gawk at Heath after to complete your bougie Saturday.
Great breads . If for a coffee be careful they prepare the tables for the diner at 4.00pm
Fior di latte (sweet buffalo milk) soft serve was rich but not too sweet: perfect! - Tiff Ting
VibeChill, Hip, Artsy, Outdoor. You likely to meet local artists, makers, & techies from nearby.Tips☕️ ???? ???? ???? Breakfast wrap with homemade sauce & any of their sandwiches or soups. - Steve Pepple
The golden beet sandwich is worth the wait. The crispy grilled patty bits are the best. - Katie Wilson
The green smoothie with banana and ginger! The stumptown cold brew on tap was incredible! - Monica Zarate
So many great things at this shop for kitchen and living, not just made by Heath. Also fun to come by and see the new seasonal stuffs while getting some coffee at blue bottle - Joshua Haftel
Tiny, cozy space where the spectacular coffee flows like the unending stream of time. Seriously great coffee, quirky (yet delicious) pastries, and a nice ambiance for seating/chatting if there's space - Paul Mederos
Great new grocery store in the neighborhood. Lots of variety of cheeses, wines, ciders, fresh produce and everything. Friendly staff as well. - Winson Wong
